I was pleasantly surprised when I checked into Foyles. Everything is charming. The staff, the hotel, the room. Plus the food in the restaurant is delicious. Sitting in the lobby felt like stepping back in time but with Wifi ;). Highly recommend. This family has been in the hotel industry for generations and they know how to ensure you have...

We had a wonderful time staying at Foyles Hotel. Great room, rate, A BATHTUB, beautiful gem of a building, friendly staff. The town is wonderful too. We didn't have a car and walked the beach road as the desk manager advised, only to unexpectedly come upon the Beach Bar a mile or so down where we stopped for a drink...

This is a old hotel, located at the main street, nice lobby and breakfast room (good breakfast), modest but well maintained and comfortable rooms. The staff was correct and a bit distant. Overall, a good experience, but if you do not like the old style, this is not your hotel.

Very nice old style hotel in the centre of Clifden. Room was large, bed comfortable, good shower. Nice bar downstairs with a great pint of Guinness. Breakfast was great, more options than usual. Service and staff very good.

Arrived last week after two nights in Westport without a booking were given the three rooms which we required found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom we all thought breakfast the next morning was excellent and we would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Recommended to us to try. No one to receive guests when we arrived and a queue was forming before anyone turned up. Staff in general were a bit vague/disengaged during the evening but polite throughout. Menu was extensive and we struggled to choose. Food was good though vegetable sides were a bit frugal and we had to ask for more....

A consistent favourite of my family. Great fresh food and local produce. Amazing seafood and fish. Good selection of wine and a tasty Irish coffee too. The early bird menu is great value especially if you are on more of a budget.

The older decor of nice, old comfy furniture makes you want to linger in the lobby. The receptionist/front desk person June was superior in knowledge, customer service and just downright lovely lady. The beds were comfy. Only negative was no elevator. The food was excellent. The garden terrace was beautiful. The bar was lively. The location was great. St. Joseph's...

The nice thing about Foyles is that it is nice, old in a cool way and authentic. The restaurant attached is spectacular and the bar downstairs is second to none. Exactly what my brother and I needed on our trip to visit the place my grandmother was born and raised.

Room warm and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Staff in dining room very friendly and efficient. The soft furnishings are a little tired, it could do with a lift and the open fire should be filled with solid fuel to add a bit of coziness. Altogether though, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay on our next...
