Approved to Failte Ireland Standard. Awarded 4 Stars by the AA. Recommended in best B&B Guide to Ireland. Free Wi-Fi available in bedrooms. Free Internet access in lounge. Ardmore House is set on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean amid rugged landscape. 5Km. West of Clifden Town, it is a small holding stretching from the upper Sky Road to the lower Sky Road and on out to the cliffs locally known as the Slopers. Here we have made a walkway for our Guests. The views from the cliffs of Clifden Bay and the Atlantic Ocean are some of the best you'll find in the Country.

Not only do they make you feel like family but Kathy and John have thought of everything! The room and bed was most comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Their home baked bread is wonderful!! There’s a small pantry area with a fridge, ice cubes, plates etc, outlet converters and even a luggage scale. Anything you could possibly need. They even have a lovely short walk to the local cliffs in their backyard. Lower skyroad can be daunting at first but you get used to it quickly and it’s a beautiful view. We were there as a home base to go to Ashford Castle and other Connemara locations

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The rooms were spacious, clean and just lovely. Not too far from town but a beautiful location. We enjoyed our walk on the private path down to the ocean cliffs. Breakfast was wonderful and the music was a bonus! Ardmore House was our favorite accommodation on our 2 week stay in Ireland. Thanks for your directions the next day, everything worked out well on our travels. Wish we had stayed here longer than one night. Your visitors from Pennsylvania.

This was the most recent of several visits to Connemara and I wish we'd found Ardmore House earlier. It is the most perfect B&B in a wonderful location, run by perfect hosts. Kathy and John have everything just right - they made us so very welcome and looked after us so very well for the whole week we were there - I don't know how they do it !! We have travelled extensively and have stayed in a huge variety of properties over the years in many different countries and Ardmore House has to be right there at the top of the list - everything was just so good. Thank you both for a perfect stay - we'll be back just as soon as we can fit it in.

This was a thoroughly lovely experience. We were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. Our room was comfortable and impeccably clean. Breakfast was Super! The full Irish breakfast was delicious and included black and white pudding. We enjoyed a lovely walk down to the water from the house. The B and B is situated down a narrow country road but not far from Clifden, where we enjoyed a very nice email at the King’s Restaurant. Heartily recommended..... a real taste of Irish hospitality at its very best!!
