We had the pleasure of staying with Gilbert and his pals! Our room was absolutely beautiful. The complementary champagne for all visitors a lovely touch. Dinner was out of this world but nothing could have prepared us for the intimate bar party. Candles, open fire, welcoming staff to all guests, and the personal input from Brian in terms of welcome...

Stayed here for two nights in late July. Our bedroom was a bit dark but spacious. Place was really busy with two helicopter pads occupied! Food was good and service ultra friendly. Got our photo taken on first night and within 5 minutes brian Hughes- owner- had handed us the photos. A very nice touch. Drink prices very favourable. If...

Stayed here several months back, had a great time. I was looking for somewhere to stay in Clifden that was a little bit different as (through months of planning knew or at least hoped!) I was going to be celebrating my engagement. When booking I explained the situation as was pleasantly surprised that we had been upgraded to one of...

We decided to stay here because we had no reservations anywhere. Moira was at the front desk and took our information and chatted with us a bit. She took us to our room and left. About 10 minutes later, she said she wanted to take us to a different room because she felt it was more airy there. Thank goodness...

Our family of five had the pleasure of staying here for one night and had a great time. The accommodations were lush and inviting. The grounds are beautiful. The dinner was excellent and the staff and host Brian wonderful. Be sure to greet Gilbert the parrot who lives in the lobby while you are there - he might actually say...

Our family came home from Australia to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday. We had dinner in Abbeyglen Castle in Clifden on Saturday. What a night! We were made feel so special by Brian. The service at the meal was first class and the food excellent. We cannot praise it enough. After the meal we went down to the bar and...

This was by far our least favorite accommodation of our trip and we stayed in 6 different hotels over 10 days. Everything about this place was a disappointment excepting the gorgeous part of Ireland where it is located. We were very impressed at first glance, but once entering the abbey( It is not a castle) we were immediately disappointed.  Reception and...

Located In a real neat town in western Ireland. Check in was prompt. Room was pretty dated. There was a huge spider web in one corner. The bed was awful, part of the mattress was broke and sagging. The room was a large two room suite, the bathroom was large and had a jetted tub. The restaurant was great! Food...

Had a great stay for 3 nights, any problems we did have were dealt with exceptionally fast, just remember you can't fix a problem if you don't know about it. The bar was great entertainment each night and the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the showers were hot. Meals were good and the staff friendly and very helpful,...
