Arrived in Clifden on Saturday evening and after checking in had the problem of finding a meal on Saturday night. Found our way to the Alcock and Brown Hotel Bar and had a lovely meal for our family of five. No reservation, no bother. Would recommend.

We spent a few days here. This hotel doesn't pretend to be anything but what it is. In short, a fine, clean family-run hotel. Fantastic staff, wholesome breakfast and accommodation, while basic, ticked all our requirements. It's located right in the heart of Clifden town. Yes there is no car park and if you want to leave your car, you...

Had really enjoyable stay on August 2nd and 3rd. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast really great with plenty options. Will be back and stay in this hotel. Only problem is parking but can usually get space in and around hotel. Parking meter from 11.30 amto 6.30 pm.

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate the kind words and we were happy to welcome you to the hotel. I understand the parking problem, Clifden is such a busy time in August, but thankfully the rest of the year parking is manageable. We hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Angela

Well appointed hotel in centre of Clifden. Very warm welcome from this family run hotel. The owners and staff could not do enough for us. Spacious room ,spotlessly clean, great shower and large comfy bed. Food was excellent. Breakfast was a delight and main meals delicious and plentiful. Would definitely recommend.

I just stayed at this hotel with a large group of people whom I was travelling with, and I have to say that the staff are absolutely fantastic and helpful. In particular, the housekeeping ladies (Mairead and Rioní) who went out of their way to help me with planning and sorting things out for my trip. I will most definitely...

The Alcock & Brown Hotel is right in the heart of Clifden at the road intersection and our top floor room had enormous windows looking all the way down the streets in every direction - a real feature when staying in one of these rooms. However, it could have done with a lift to get to the room and I...

We found that our second stay at the Alcock and Brown Hotel was just as fabulous as our first stay in 2013. Take: a great view of town overlooking the square, mix it with the hotel's close proximity to pubs/live music, and you'll have a great stay in Clifden. Since we are from the States, this town was a very...
