A friend and I decided to spend some time in Cork over the summer, and on our way back up through the country I thought we should see if there was room at the Wandesforde. An impromptu visit back was planned on the drive up and we were greeted by open arms, and felt more like family than customers! My...

Despite arriving very late, our host stayed up to meet us. The warmth of her welcome was worth travelling from the UK to experience! Nothing was too much trouble and she made our stay truly memorable. Breakfast was superb - great Irish food including freshly baked bread and scones. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds really comfortable. I can...

As a former resident of the 'Wandesforde House', this place has fond memories for me! The welcome and hospitality received once you arrive at the B & B is truly wonderful. The location, the grounds, the rooms and the history of the building are carefully and lovingly managed by Anna and Michael. A jewel in this area! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Beautiful former old schoolhouse, superbly renovated into a wonderful place to stay. Fabulous hosts, amazing breakfast, very clean & comfortable bedrooms - simply the best B&B - a must stay for anyone passing through Kilkenny.

I cannot recommend a better place to stay. Anna and Michael are brilliant hosts and made our stay memorable. I went to the excellent Punchestown Races, played golf at the challenging Castlecomber Course, visited lovely Kilkenny and enjoyed the wonderful craic with the lovely, friendly people, as we drank the beautiful Guinness! Great place, Great people, we will be back!

From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The hospitality shown at Wandesforde House, was like no other I've ever experienced! The house has been beautifully renovated from an old school house, and the room I had at the back of the house had stunning views across the Kilkenny countryside, and was furnished with impeccable eye to detail. The...

Myself, my father and my two uncles had the pleasure of staying at Wandesforde House with Anna and Michael for three nights. It is the second time we have visited the local area; and the second time staying at Wandesforde House since we enjoyed our first stay so much. Lovely people, lovely property.
