You can't do much better than Rocklands House Bed and Breakfast in Kinsale. The rooms are well-thought out, very comfortable, beautifully kept and complete with everything--even a converter plug for American tourists. John is a wonderful host, who goes out of his way to make you feel at home. His advice is well worth taking. The food is wonderful with...

We stayed here for 1 night. John, the host, and his dog were very friendly! Breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared. Room was clean, but very, very cold. We asked John to turn the heat up and he did, but it was still very chilly. The views were amazing and John had an abundance of local knowledge to share! Couldn't...

We stayed at this beautiful place on top of the hills overlooking Kinsale. John was so very thoughtful and full of ideas as to where to go and how to get there. We really appreciated the care he took with us. The breakfast was wonderful and the view was spectacular. We were a bit challenged by the roads and streets...

Rockland House B&B is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the pretty town of Kinsale but definitely worth the effort. A beautiful house sitting up over the river with amazing views. John was a delightful host and he crafted a spectacular breakfast each morning. We stayed three nights and couldn't have been happier with our choice.

We spent one night at Rockland's house on a multi-way B&B tour of Ireland in March 2017. The tourist season had just opened as we arrived on St. Patrick's Day. The Rockland's house is stunning. It is located above the town of Kinsale and provides fantastic views of the area. The rooms are very comfortable with bathrooms inside each one....

Really enjoyed this place. It was our first Ireland B&B and turned out to be the best. Easy walk to town and a pleasant host. The room was quite comfortable and the breakfast was great. Beautiful views from the guest lounge. I'd stay here again.

Don't let the steep driveway scare you. Once you arrive, this was one of the best B and B's we stayed in during our two week trip around Ireland. The room was cozy and welcoming with a private balcony that overlooked the water. John was perfect host, very welcoming but allowing you to enjoy some privacy. He went out of...

My wife and I had the pleasure of being John's guests for the last night of the season- Halloween. Had a great room with a view of the harbor area. Met John upon our return from dinner, at which time he offered us a whiskey nightcap and pleasant conversation, along with some good recommendations for our travels along the coast...

Stayed at Rocklands recently. Every one of our party commented how lovely it was. The accommodation is located on a hill offering superb views. John is a tremendously friendly host and very knowledgeable when it comes to the history of the surrounding area. Rooms are well furnished with very comfortable beds. The delicious breakfast, served in a lovely room overlooking...
