If you want a nights sleep - DO NOT stay here. Having been woken at 2am and kept awake for over an hour the night porter had a word with our fellow guests. Eventually all was quiet. The hotel then kindly moved our room the following night however at 1.30am we were woken again by other hotel guests. We fully...

Dropped into the blue haven hotel after dinner in kinsale. Fabulous trio band playing, beautiful ambience , acoustic sound, great place, well worth a visit. Didn't stay in the hotel but the bar area seemingly plays regular local music bands.

We had our wedding reception here last month. From start to finish ,it was an excellent venue. I dealt with Naomi and Helen coming up on the wedding and I dealt with the general manager,Magda,on the actual day of the wedding. Anytime I emailed Naomi or Helen before the wedding,I always received a prompt reply. Helen emailed me a few...

My partner and I stayed at the Blue Haven for one night on the 23rd of December. Parking on the street was easy - we paid a couple of euros for the remainder of the day and through to midday on the 24th. The receptionist was lovely on arrival and offered to have someone take our bags up to our...

In exploring the town this seemed to be the nicest and best value for a hotel. I was quoted €138 for two nights. The rooms were very small but very charming. It's a sister hotel of the Old Bank Hotel. The best concierge I've met in Kinsale! A wrapped cookie in your bed from their bakery. Fish restaurant and Hamptons...

You may need to adjust your expectations when staying at the Blue Haven. Things to note (1) it is in the middle of Kinsale. There will be music and noisy people at the weekends in the summer. If you don't like this, go somewhere else. (2) it isn't a plastic modern hotel. There are stairs and rooms that are not...

I didn't realise that they are so complex - there's Blue Haven Hotel, bar and bistro, seafood cafe, hamlets bar and just when we were about to leave Kinsale we popped in to Old Bank House for coffee and we found out there are part...

Before I begin, I know this is a bit late, but just didnt around to writing it. My wife and myself visited the Blue Haven for an evening meal during the Halloween weekend and the meal was very power. I would rate the seafood chowder was cold & probably the worst that Ive ever had. My wife had soup which...

Very poor. Room nice and clean. Breakfast poor, I had eggs benedict served on a slice of toast!!! Also, burnt pancakes a speciality! Breakfast buffet in corner on table in serving area and not even refrigerated. Would not chance the salmon or ham! Dinner was extremely poor, 1 fish dish which included gnocchi thats fried in a boat themed restaurant....
