Helen and Brian are wonderful hosts and have the most charming place. We loved our rooms - each decorated beautifully with love and care. And the breakfast was simple amazing!! We are coming back one day
The room and common areas are attractive, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was of gourmet quality with lots of choice. Most importantly the hosts were proactive in getting to know you and helping you find activities to make your visit to Dingle enjoyable and memorable.
Everything was perfect – – from the greeting on arrival, to the room, to the breakfast, to the service and staff, assistance with service, recommendations, reservations, even guidance on departing regarding the next stops to see. We had seen glowing recommendations on the Rick Steves...More
My mother and I stayed here for 2 nights in October. Wonderful hotel. We could not find a single flaw. Hosts were brilliant. Excellent value for the money. We would highly recommend. Rooms are tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable.
Castlewood House was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. Helen and Brian were perfect hosts. The breakfast was outstanding with an expansive menu and delicious choices. The day trip around the Dingle peninsula was beautiful. Be sure to stop at the Blasket...More

Best to email Helen and Brian asap to discuss dates, I think Castlewood has 14 rooms some with double beds. There is free car parking in front and hotel is conveniently located 10 minute walk into town. Elevator in house but there are a few steps up to front door and inside foyer.
Dingle is a fun town for children and they are allowed in pubs to hear music. Murphy's ice Cream, Dingle Aquarium, pottery workshop, fishing in bay - see Fungi the wild dolphin, historic and tour attractions out west on Slea Head Drive, beautiful beaches for picnic lunch. Dingle Crystal workshop is awesome, owner Sean is master glass artist and rides very cool Harley Motorcycles.
Enjoy Dingle! Ellen
