This place is ridiculously cute. Although not a traditional cottage, it is charming, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We also felt it was a very good value for the area. We would stay again.

Having seen the thatched house online we weren't disappointed when we arrived at Lissyclearig. Carmel greeted us with a cuppa tea and porter cake which was delicious. We met Davey shortly after that and he set us straight with a plan to catch some mountain lake trout and the advice was perfect . The house itself is fab and some...

This is our second time here, and we love it. This trip, we planned to walk the Kerry way from Kenmare to Killarney which is so close to this cottage. We felt very welcome by Carmel, and she remembered us. We arrived late evening, and Carmel kindly dropped us into town so we could see some music and have a...

Stayed at this guest house with my husband and two kids last week. I couldn't rate it highly enough. What a gorgeous family and home. Carmel was so welcoming, her daughter Niamh brought the kids out to the garden a few times over the 3 days to see the quails and the hens and she also had them painting stones....

David and Carmel were wonderful hosts. David built this entire Irish cottage and much of the furniture himself. He was a great help to us, as we got two flat tires from hitting some sharp rocks when a bus came over the line at us when we were leaving Killarney National Park. He came out and picked us up and...

We so enjoyed staying in this quaint cottage. It may look small from the outside but our room was adequate and the bathroom roomy. There are so many little details that just make this place stand out as singular and memorable. The gardens are lovely with so many whimsical little touches. The lounge is quite cozy and homey. The dining...

We stayed late May, 2015. Carmel was a wonderful host and she really helped us along tremendously!! Great tips on things to see & do, and premium customer service. The B&B is fantastic, the host were wonderful, and the food was delicious! Take the back road into Kenmare off the beaten path. Our only wish was that we could've stayed...

We have just arrived back from staying at lissyclearig and felt compelled to write a review straight away after a lovely night in such a beautiful and unique building. Carmel was a fantastic host when we met her this morning, it was her son who met us in last night. After a perfectly cooked and much needed breakfast Carmel was...

We really enjoyed staying at this owner built B and B. Our bicycles were allowed inside too which was nice for them. It was easy to cycle into Kenmare to eat, and our breafast the next morning was excellent. As we were about to ascent Moll's Gap a good breakfast was rather essential...
