We stayed 3 nights in the Stone Stables and had the most amazing experience. The world is a bit hectic at the moment with covid but the owners have practices in place to minimise unnecessary interaction and the place was in pristine clean condition upon our arrival.

Wood was provided for the fireplace, as well as kindling pre-set up when we first arrived. Chocolates on the bed as well as a kind note from the owner to enjoy our stay. Fridge came prestocked with fresh milk for the complimentary tea and coffee supplies which also included a pod machine (complete with complimentary pods). The room was beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable and the garden, complete with outdoor spa and barbeque, was cosy and private for our enjoyment. They clearly think of everything as we could even log onto netflix via the smart tv, enjoy music on the speaker dock provided and found out that wifi was available within the chalet. 100% will recommend to everyone we know as well as keep this place in mind for our next holiday.

This is exactly the place for those in need of a complete break from the everyday rush. Since the first minute we arrived at our accomodation (Eco Lodge 2), we decided that we would have spent the entire stay without leaving.
We really appreciated the level of cleaning found, the lovely and very comfortable bed, the amazing view of the open shower and the lovely birds surrounding the Lodge. The Lodge and the overall experience met our expectations. What we felt through the booking process and website (photos), was real and described exactly what we found.

We will come back for sure. We missed the wooden stone opportunity :)

Definitely Recommended.

Amazing 4 night stay. Tim and Brooke were quick to respond and very helpful. If you are looking for a getaway with privacy and fantastic accommodation then I would recommend this place. We stayed in Eco Lodge 2 which is surrounded by bush and about 2km down the driveway - so peaceful. The outdoor bath was incredible - take bubbles and bath bombs and the huge deck on the other side is built around a tree and has a great BBQ, table and chairs and loungers. Inside is a very comfy bed and pillows, couch, table and chairs, Smart TV, fridge with a freezer and aircon/heating as well as a fireplace. The bathroom is huge! There is also a large double wardrobe. I'm pretty fussy and the cleanliness was A+++ The accommodation was fully serviced on our 3rd day. There is a Bottle store and Deli a few k's down the road. Recommend Harvest Food and Wine Tours and going to the Margaret River Farmers Markets. We did not want to leave. Thank you Hidden Valley Forest Retreat

Very clean and well appointed room, bathroom, fireplace, kitchenette and outdoor bath. Amenities were a great brand and the kitchen cupboard, bbq and coffee machine had everything you could need.
The property we stayed in was right next to the main house and a working shed the other side of the Stone Stable cabin. Their dog barked so often it really became intolerable and we are huge dog lovers so this is saying something. A Ute regularly drove right past the cabin and the bath outside backed onto this road so there was NO privacy through the slates of the wooden fence behind the bath. This property should come with a written warning and option to upgrade to another cabin or ability to refund on finding out it’s NOT hidden in a forest as the name suggests. We paid for and expected utter privacy otherwise we would have stayed elsewhere.

Hello MickNatplus FOUR, Thank you for staying with us. The chalet that you selected comes with very specific information regarding both the working area of the property and that our dogs are in the adjacent house. We have been very honest with this description so that guests are fully aware that while this is still a well appointed chalet with all the luxuries of our forest chalets we have priced it to reflex this situation. We do dispute your comment that the dogs were constantly barking as we do not let them roam the house block before 08:30 AM and both are locked away at night from 7:00 PM when guests are staying in the Stone Stable. They will protect the house if we leave the property during the day and for some of this time the dogs will be with us within the orchards. There are numerous other dogs on adjacent properties. When sitting in the spa bath and the BBQ area you can see through the slates outward however from the road which is approximately 15m away there is no visibility inwards. At the time of your booking we had 2 forest chalets available and both of these were vacant during the time of your stay. At no point during your stay did you make contact with us regarding any of the issues you have raised so it's very difficult for us offer options in that situation. Here is the wording for the chalet you stayed in which we hope will help guests reading this review if they decide to book with us and choose the Stone Stable in preference to one of the forested chalets. Hidden Valley Forest Retreat is located within an avocado operation. The Stone Stable is located adjacent to the main residence and a short distance from the main operating area. While every effort is made to keep noise to a minimum this chalet can be affected by general work noise. The main residence houses the property working dogs as well. This chalet is priced to reflect this situation in comparison to other chalets located at the rear of the property. Kind regards Tim

A beautiful place in a stunning setting
Fabulous views all around and the most beautiful tub to soak in under the trees.
Sparkling clean, very comfortable bed a spacious bathroom with views even while you shower.

A couple of cons - the kitchen is looking very old and shabby chipped benches and is one of the first things you see when you walk into the space let’s the place down as the rest is very fresh.

Also for the price which is close to $500 a night there are no little welcoming touches such as a breakfast basket or even a bottle of wine - a jug of milk and a couple of baci chocolates was the extent of the gratuities.

Although the setting is beautiful there are much better value for money accommodations in the area.

We definitely enjoyed our stay the silence was golden.

We stayed in September 2022 and based on our research, decided to book the Deepwater Retreat chalet, with access to a private lake and jetty.

We were expecting some quiet time to relax and reconnect, and most of all, complete privacy. The Deepwater Retreat ticks all of the boxes. It was perfect!

From the booking process, check-in, the stay, amenities, everything, the experience was absolutely unforgettable. Thank you and kudos to the host for creating such an amazing retreat haven.

We will be back.

We stayed in the Eco Lodge 1 for an amazing 3 nights and it was absolutely stunning! We arrived to a huge bouquet of gorgeous native flowers on the table and the lodge looked just like the pictures. There was a fireplace stocked with lots of firewood which was replaced every day at our front door and the spa was incredible. There was no need for us to leave ever as we stocked the fridge with eggs, bacon and meats and made good use of the BBQ each night. The views each morning and evening were spectacular made better by the rain and storms that rolled in and out throughout our stay. A highlight for me (other than the spa and fireplace) was the shower with a window out onto the forest. I was wary of this at first but my goodness it was simply gorgeous! We wanted a relaxing winter getaway and we certainly got one!

When we first pulled into Hidden Valley we weren’t so sure we had selected the right location for our southern getaway, but as soon as we made our way to our Ecolodge we knew it was perfect!

The ecolodge was a beautifully modern, light filled bush oasis that was a great place to call home for 4 nights. From the floor to ceiling glass in the bathroom, the outdoor bath, the large deck with bbq and the comfy king bed it was all absolutely wonderful! Being 1km back from the entrance/ reception and only 3 other cabins close by (but artfully concealed from each other in the bush) you truely feel like you are in your own private bush paradise.

As it is a bit of a drive to get to any food I recommend doing a little bit of a shop to stock up the small fridge before you check in (there is a coles & liquorland not too far away in vasse just off the highway that we ended up going back to). There is salt, pepper, oil, milk, paper towel and cling wrap in the cabin already but you will need a few other staples like butter & sauce.

I was worried that because of all the windows and no curtains we would struggle to sleep in but we managed just fine :)

We had such a wonderful stay here and highly recommend!

We stayed 3 nights at the Stone Stable. Which is closer to the entrance and main residence - but we didn’t feel it lacked any privacy at all from this.
The stable is appointed beautifully and is cozy and welcoming. It has a gorgeous court yard where we were able to sit and watch a variety of local birds enjoy themselves.

We had a cozy, relaxing and beautiful weekend here and would recommend it to any couple or single looking for some serious RnR.

We were pleased to find a small jug of milk, tea and coffee (pod machine) for our use.

We met Tim and Lily, who are lovely and we’re able to help us with any concern or question we had. Perfect service.

The location is also a short drive from local towns and attractions.

Our stay 3 night stay started with a very warm & friendly greeting from the host, after which we were left to our own devices.
The chalets are set in a truly peaceful & tranquil setting, surrounded by the most amazing bushland/forest. Although there were a lot of windows with no window treatments it felt very private & secluded with the other chalets well distanced apart. If you are a light sleeper or need darkness for a good nights sleep, these may not be for you due to the lack of window treatments...but it was just so nice to lay in bed with an outlook to the bush/forest.
The chalets are well equipped with king bed, gorgeous indoor/outdoor bathroom with all the amenities, kitchenette with a coffee pod machine, fridge, hotplate & microwave but no oven, BBQ, outdoor seating & wood fire.
The chalets are not too far from Margaret River & or Dunsborough. We ate breakfast in the chalet one morning & dinner 2 nights, having got some provisions from the Bunbury Farmers Market & Dunsborough. The rest of the time we ate out (highly recommend Yarris & Meelup Farmhouse in Dunsborough).
If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful & or romantic time, would highly recommend a stay here. It felt like we had stayed longer than the 3 nights, that's how relaxing it was.

Could you please tell me how comfortable are the beds and armchairs in the Stable Cottage?
Margaret River wine region, WA
Hello Julie The king size bed in Stone Stable has a high quality mattress which to date we have not received any complaints about over the last 2 years. The lounge is of standard firmness. Regards Tim and Lily
Margaret River wine region, WA
Hello Samarah, The chalets do not have wifi however the area is covered by the 3G/4G network. Reception within the chalets can be intermittent due to the steel roofs, however we have not received any comments that there was no reception. If you have an important contact that needs to contact you during your stay our reception line is manned 24 hours. Many thanks Tim and Lily
