Francine and Paul provided excellent service throughout our stay. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the property was spotless. The views were absolutely stunning, and they gave us fantastic recommendations for activities in the area. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would highly recommend!

My wife and I, along with 4 friends, stayed a week here in March 2023. The resort is beautifully located on the south end of the Coral Sea Marina, with views to die for.

The property managers, Francine and Paul, could not be more helpful. Even down to the loan of one of their cars on our late arrival so we could purchase some food supplies, to providing their own personal supply of dishwashing detergent when we ran out. Each time we passed reception they waved, smiled and chatted like we were old friends.

Our first apartment had an air conditioning issue, so Fran upgraded us to the Penthouse! If you need 3 bedrooms, book this apartment. Plenty of space, all the amenities you’ll need and some you don’t, full kitchen. And a gorgeous outlook. The pool is close by for regular cool dips and transport into Airlie Beach township is easy (unless you don’t mind a 30 min easy walk).

This would have to be some of the best self-contained accomodation in Airlie Beach. Thanks Fran and Paul !!

We loved our unit so much. The view and the comfort was amazing. Francine , the manager, went above and beyond what we have ever experienced from a hotel or apartment manager. Being outside the centre of Airlie Beach was actually a positive as it was peaceful, away from the busy streets. We highly recommend this property.

Hi MichySimone1971, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. We appreciate your comment about our quiet & luxurious apartments. Yes, we enjoy both worlds at Peninsula Airlie Beach - peaceful location away from the noisy crowds of the main streets of Airlie Beach yet close enough to access cafes, pastry shops, restaurants & outdoor activities. Our water frontage is second to none on mainland Whitsundays! Francine & Paul - our onsite managers look forward to your next stay. Warm Tropical Regards from The Peninsula Team xxx

The views of the ocean and marina enchant every aspect of this modern spotless well equipped apartment. The staff are friendly helpful professional and this was the best place our friends and family have probably ever stayed in.
It’s not expensive for what you get when sharing costs and we had unit 26 which actually has 3 bedrooms but you only pay for two and one of the most stunning views in the complex. Turtles so close you could almost talk to them.

My husband, adult daughter and I spent last week at the Peninsula, in apartment 34.
The view from the balcony was beautiful (as I believe is the same for most apartments).
Overlooking the Marina, we enjoyed watching the sea life every night, even fireworks from a wedding.
A friendly Cockatoo joined our happy hour, abundance of fish, manta rays and turtles.
The apartment was very spacious and fully equipped.
Washer/dryer, fridge/freezer with built in ice maker and water dispenser.
A few sachets of coffee, tea and sugar provided, dishwasher powder, washing powder etc, more can be purchased from reception or bring your own.
The beds were comfortable, if you like a firm mattress.
As posted in a previous review, we did experience a few issues during our stay.
The curtains in both bedrooms are still coming off the runners.
There is a stain/wear in the shower tiles in ensuite which looks dirty.
On arrival, there was a dead spider In ensuite toilet and moths, alive and dead, everywhere.
The main bedroom TV never worked our whole stay and it was reported to management twice.
The internet was not great until we moved the modem into the lounge which seemed to fix the problem.
Cushions in lounge are ripped and lounge suite needs a good clean.
There are also a number of stains on bedroom carpet.
The pool is quite small and quite cold, which is a shame because you cannot swim at the beach due to stingers.
The location is ok, an easy 20-30 min walk along boardwalk into Airlie township or an $8 taxi ride.
No shops in area, a cafe/restaurant along boardwalk within 10 mins walk which are lovely,
Recommend Garden Cafe and Sorrento restaurant, marina views, reasonable prices and good food.
Across the road from Peninsula is Rainbow cafe upstairs open for breakfast/lunch.
We took day tours which left from the marina which we could walk to or be picked up for.
All in all we had a very enjoyable stay, just a few things need attention to maintain the apartment and give value for the price charged to stay here.

Wish I could give this place even more than just 5 stars! From the spectacular views, to the cleanliness and space to the well equipped apartment from board games to spices and Tupperware containers, this place is one of the best apartments we’ve stayed in and we’re a really well travelled family! What really topped it off for us though was the warm personable customer service from Fran and Paul. They radiate the most beautiful energy and go over and beyond to help. We were affected by cyclone Alfred and Fran went as far as helping us search for alternative ways to get to the property. She made a beautiful hamper for my father’s birthday and was so lovely with our children. We will truly miss staying here! 5 nights hasn’t felt like enough! Thank you so much and we look forward to visiting again one day!

It was a last minute trip and every where in Airlie Beach and surrounding areas was booked out I called Francine from the Penisula Airlie Beach and she found a last minute cancellation I was ever so greatfull as she did a late night check in and the moment I saw the room it was amazing. Such an incredible view and the furnishing were in "like new" condition and all of the self contained items you would expect and more.
Everything was clean and hygienic and all this made for the most incredible time where it was difficult to leave.
The pool and pool yard looked stunning and very inviting even though I didn't use it.
Paul and Fran were the most excellent and thoughtful hosts and I could not thank them enough for the magical stay and their kind hearted nature.
I look forward to the next stay.

Amazing view over the peaceful marina and Coral Sea. Beautifully furnished, very comfortable, nothing lacking, even the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Full foxtel package with casting allowed us to stream our own services as well. Managers Francine and Paul are friendly and helpful. About 15 min walk to Airlie Beach main street, but it's handy to have a car to get around more easily. Great value 2 and a half bedroom apartment (#23) meant our 2 kids could sleep in separate rooms without going to the expense of a full 3 bedroom apartment.

Hi Rebecca, We are the new On-Site Managers for Peninsula Airlie Beach and I have just signed on to Trip Advisor and saw your question had not been answered. Should we hire a car for our stay? Or are most things within walking distance?
Answer from Jules
Australia5 contributions1 helpful vote
Hi, We hired a car. You are a 20 min walk to the centre of Airlie and about 10/15 mins walk to Coles. There is a marina next door where we ate a few nights and that was close and about a 5/7 min walk, but found it really dark one night when walking back. We used Eurocar and they were good and reasonably priced. We also drove down to Hideaway Bay which is 50kms drive and is absolutely stunning. Had lunch on the beach at Montes and highly recommend.
