Clean park with average size level parking for caravans. If on a powered site you need to unhitch which may make it a bit noisy for neighbours next morning when leaving. Keep in mind the drive through sites are unpowered. Amenities - all powered sites have ensuites. Clean but dated. Good laundry room with tubs also. Park could do with a bit of updating but average price of $40.00 for 2 adults per night.

On arrival to this very tidy park we were greeted by lovely Liz who had been so helpful in assisting me with my booking over the phone. Liz continued to show fantastic customer service throughout our stay and always with a smile. Every powered site has its own ensuite (have never see that before) costing is the same all year round for sites and very reasonable. We had to fly to the Gold Coast for 4 days and Eldorado were more than happy to provide us with car and caravan storage for again a very reasonable price, while we were away. There is a community garden where you are free to pick what you need. We were able to easily ride our bikes from the park down to the beautiful Geelong foreshore where we explored all day. It is a slightly older park but clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

After reading previous reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by this caravan park. It was clean and friendly and we loved having our own ensuite. We would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to others. Eldorado is only 25 minutes away from Torquay and is a great alternative for those who can't find vacant accomodation along the beach.

We stayed here for one night when we got off the spirit of Tasmania, the lady in office was lovely and very helpful, however that’s the only nice thing about this park, we were put on a site which backed into a permanent van an beside a permanent tent, as soon as night hit OMG the language was absolutely appalling, yelling and screaming, we were a little nervous about sleeping, there was an elderly lady camped next to us she left her light outside light on all night, I went to walk our dog in the morning near the play ground and you couldn’t walk there as it was completely covered in dog poop, looks like it had been there for months, I would not recommend this place nor ever go there again, 🤮🤮

Response from Eldorado Tourist Park, General Manager at Eldorado Tourist and Residential Park
Responded 9 May 2021
Hi Wendy, I am sorry you feel your stay was not a nice experience. I just want to clarify that you were situated in the Tourist section of the park and everyone else in that section are also classed as Tourist. The people you are referring to are not residents of the park and were only here as tourists. Upon arrival everyone is given a number to call for any issues after office hours and this number is also located on the front door of the office. If I had been made aware of the situation of the yelling and screaming by anyone in the park I would have gone and dealt with it at the time. I have worked hard over the past 14 months as manager to turn the park around and create a quiet park for everyones enjoyment. As for the dog poo we apologise if some is missed. We do request all dog owners clean up after their dogs and staff do their best to keep the grounds clean but we are a small staff park maintaining 10 acres of land so sometimes these things get missed. Again I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Regards, Lauren, Manager

We stayed a few nights at Eldorado, visiting family, and found the caravan park to be very pleasant with friendly campers and helpful staff. The gardens and facilities were neat, tidy and clean. The ensuite was an added bonus for us in our camper trailer, it was nice to have one to ourselves. With easy access to the Highway its in a good location to get to Geelong, the great ocean road, and for us it was straight up to Ballarat. . Looking forward to return visits and staying longer. Thank you Lauren, family and staff for looking after us. J. & V.

We recently stayed for 2 nights as a base to explore the first half of the Great Ocean Road (Torquay to Lavers Hill). The park is easily accessible from the M1 and an easy drive into Geelong. All staff were very friendly. Every powered site comes with an en-suite but the sites are not very deep. We were allocated site 66. Our van only just fitted on the site and then with our car parked at the side, there was not enough room to have our awning out. As there was no one on the site behind, we were able to drive through to park our van but access would have been a bit tight if we had to reverse onto the site. The access into the park itself, could be a bit challenging with a caravan as you have to park up in a designated area to complete the registration then take a sharp turn to the right and line the van up to go through the boom gate. There is a large rock on the right side of the entrance and then a couple of posts to negotiate before the boom gate itself. One tip, get out of the car to use the key fob to open the boom gate!!

Response from EldoradoTP, Manager at Eldorado Tourist and Residential Park
Responded 23 Jan 2020
Thank you for your review Julie. The Park is now 40 years old, built back when caravans and cars were a lot smaller. Our sites cater for 29ft in length which accommodates 95% of caravans coming into the park. The boom-gate is for security, to stop people who are not registered as guests, coming into the park. I have been in the park since 2017 and have never (until now) had any issues with people negotiating around the rock as the rock is not on the actual road, its to the right of the road coming in. The reason for the rock and also the big logs is also for security as they prohibit any-one from driving up the kerb and onto the sidewalk next to the boom-gate, and letting themselves in to the caravan park. We have endeavoured to make sure our residents and guests have as much safety whilst staying with us. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us and you had a safe trip home. Kind regards Leesa

We spent 2 nights in a Campervan to explore the great ocean road and Torquay Beaches. Very well located, cheap and clean. The powered site is with an own bathroom (ensuite)The small Swimmingpool(cleaned every evening) made our children happy! The owner helped us out with a clogged grey water pipe! Thank you again!!!

Visiting family. Needed pet friendly. Stayed one night then decided to stay 3 weeks. Great helpful happy service from all staff. Park is Secure, Maintained as well as possible, clean and tidy. En-suite to powered site is bit old but good to have. Good laundry area. Reasonable prices. . Future plans for huge changes which should be good. Close to Geelong. Road noise is fine hardly hear anything in caravan. Thank you for the chance to enjoy our stay in Victoria. 😊

We stopped here overnight on our way from Melbourne to Torquay at the end of March and had read a few of the previous poor reviews - we were very pleasantly surprised! The owners John and Glenda met us despite being a late check in (8pm) and went out of their way to welcome us and recommend sights around the area, and Victoria in general. Our site was flat, with a concrete base we easily drove our camper trailer onto which made for an easy set up. Each site had its own ensuite with a toilet and shower, very clean and included a towel bath mat. It is on the road but we were unable to hear much traffic from our site. Several permanent residents but seemed to be mostly up the other end of the park. Only one hours' drive from Melbourne and 10 minutes to Geelong. We would definitely choose this place again if we pass through.
