We stayed here for one night while doing the Way of the Roses coast to coast ride. The friendly welcome from Sue and Barry set the tone for our stay. The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Ripon looks like a lovely place and we plan to visit it another... More

Very well looked after by our hosts. The breakfast was good. The decor was a little dated, but quite in keeping with the period property. Absolutely lovely location. There are lots of great places to eat in Ripon. Some are pricey, but many are but a short stroll from Boxtree Cottages. I would recommend this place!

A delightful and gorgeous B&B, close to the city centre but peaceful, well kept, well serviced/appointed and with excellent breakfasts! Private, off road parking which was excellent for our fully loaded car. Would definitely recommend.

I lived in Ripon when I was a child and like to return every so often for a dose of nostalgia. This is a lovely place to stay - warm welcome; beautiful room; delicious breakfast; easy walk to the city centre. It's the 3rd time I've stayed here and I'm looking forward to the 4th .

Very comfortable and well equipped rooms. In a charming set of cottages with a delightful garden from where the B & B gets it's name. The hosts, Barry and Sue, are extremely welcoming and serve up a superb breakfast. With off street parking, the cottages are placed within a short walking distance of the city centre.

Set in some lovely, and well tendered gardens, we had a relaxing stay in this beautiful period hotel. Friendly owners, lovely room, and lovingly cooked breakfast. We'd definitely stay here again. We paid £90 for their 'suite' which was large and light. King sized bed with sitting area, lovely period furniture, and 'homely'. Excellent value, and happy to reccommend.

Chintzy, peaceful comfort in well situated cottages with off street parking and a warm welcome from owners Sue and Barry. A lovely breakfast and situated within walking distance of Ripon town centre and lots of yummy local eateries. Almost makes working away from home a pleasure.

Stayed at Box Tree for one night only. Comfortable, picturesque, parking, friendly owners, classic cottage feel but well-equipped, great breakfast, top value. Couldn't fault Box Tree in any way and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Ripon/N. Yorkshire. I hope to be back.

We had a delightful night at Box Tree with excellent hosts Barbara & Bill. They pointed us in the right direction for a good evening meal & made sure we didn't miss the 'Ripon Hornblower' experience - a must. A comfortable room & stay, excellent breakfast & most accomodating with our bicycles, panniers etc. Many thanks
