We stayed here earlier this month and it was perfect! The room was very comfortable with some lovely finishing touches. We were made to feel welcome and the whole place has a 'homely' feel. We had a fantastic stay and I would thoroughly recommend. I would certainly like a return visit! Thank you Sue and Barry!

We stayed here for one night after visiting Fountain's Abbey. Beautiful property in the heart of Ripon, just a short walk to the Cathedral and shops. We had the large double room (Room 2) which was very pretty and well-equipped with some lovely extra touches like jelly babies, good selection of teas, hot water bottles, facial wipes, nail scissors etc....

Sue and Barry are very friendly and welcoming. Bed very comfortable. Lovely elevated location and close to Ripon centre. Room spotless and lots of nice touches - jelly beans in room, fresh milk, useful toiletries etc. Breakfast lovely too, perfectly cooked! We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it by another day! We will defintely return here.

Stayed here for one night on the Way of the Roses ride. Barry and his wife were superb hosts. Beautiful, big homely rooms (we took the twin). Bathroom was well cleaned and there were some nice touches too: cotton buds, sewing kit, jelly babies. Breakfast was very good - fantastic black pudding. It's close to the centre but far away...

Can't fault this place at all, you are made to feel welcome as soon you walk through the door. Barry and Sue are the perfect hosts and the full English breakfast is the best I've had and I'm a lorry driver, yes Barry better than a transport cafe.

My husband and I stayed at Box Tree Cottages at a difficult time for us personally, as we were in Ripon making funeral arrangements. It was such a lovely house, and Sue was so warm to us, that we felt comforted just staying there. It was very nicely furnished, with attention to detail, and all possible amenities were provided. We...

I stayed for three nights at the B&B for a work trip. Sue and Barry are fab hosts. They have created a home from home environment which is clean, tasteful, quirky and a million miles away from basic! From nick-nacks in the bathroom cabinet, to a beautifully wrapped bag of jelly babies, their care and attention to detail is clear...
