While traveling through England by train (which I highly recommend first class) my sisters and I were looking for places to stay that had king size beds, bathrooms with bathtubs, breakfast included in the price and was within walking distance to a train station. Believe it or not, that was hard to find. Although Swinton Park was not within walking...

From the minute you arrive you are made welcome. It is a warm & friendly atmosphere & the hotel itself is very grand . Dining in Samuels restaurant during your stay is a must - the dishes are a delight for the eye as well as the palate.

A brilliant stay which felt so luxurious. Lovely music playing through the rooms where you could just sit and enjoy tea or play chess or simply have a read. The room was fabulous and the lakes are even better. Wonderful for walking nearby. Can't wait to stay again
