We found this place on laterooms.com we felt welcome from the minute we stepped through the door. We were meant to be travelling around Cornwall but when batteries failed on mobiles to find our next nights stop we headed back to what we knew and another great night was had.

We were visiting Pentillie Gardens ( a must do) and wanted some lunch on the way. Found this very welcoming olde worlde pub, who were able to accommodate our limited time for lunch despite being quite busy. Extensive menu choices, typical pub food, but decent portions, food was hot. Big car park.

Charming olde worlde pub with letting rooms next to an ancient church. Upon arrival I was not overwhelmed with the welcome, the room (which was a little tired) had no towels, which I missed as i was in a hurry and didnt check before showering!. To be told smugly the following morning (Sunday) that breakfast had finished at 9, my...

Was recommended to visit the Weary Friar by a receptionist at the hotel we were staying at local to the Weary Friar. We were told that the food was amazing so we were excited to visit! Looked nice from the outside; very medieval feel - including inside too! Welcomed warmly by a lady who we presumed owns it. Order was...

A lovely pub that serves beautiful food in substantial portions. The staff were all friendly and the meals were all very reasonably priced. Good choice of drinks including local ales. Would definitely return if I was to visit the area again on holiday.

This has always been our favourite meal venue in the Saltash area. We visited the lunch time Friday 29th of may. First of all 2 of the 3 bitters were off. The Rose wine my wife wanted was by the bottle and not by available by the glass. The ladies toilet had no toilet paper The gents toilet had no...

Unfortunately we have had two poor experiences at this pub since my previous glowing report! The last visit, we went for a special occasion on a Tuesday night, so you wouldn't expect this to be a busy time. We had pre-booked a table which was fine, but we had to change our menu choice as they had run out of...
