Just spent 2nights here for my husband's birthday. Lovely old pub and every comfortable accommodation. Couldn't fault anything. The food was excellent value. I recommend the steak and kidney pie and the lamb cutlets Would definitely stay there again.

Iv read the reviews on The Weary Friar and can honestly say that in my experience recently that they do not mirror some of the past reviews on here. The Weary Friar offers good value traditional pub food, catering for locals and passing trade alike....More

I stayed as a business traveller and ate in the restaurant, really tasty food, I sat by the fire and read my book for a while and was really comfortable. The rooms are simple and pleasant just what I needed.
