Down for one night for a 50th at nearby pub Rod and Line. Had read a couple of negative reviews but was delightfully surprised. Greeted by Bridget the owner and shown to a lovely country house room at the front complete with a comfy window seat. The bed and pillows were so comfy could have stayed in there all day.... More

Stayed here for the weekend of Looe music festival as did a number of other guests on the weekend. It totally served my purpose. The road noise is quite loud and turn in a bit steep and tight but fine once you get used to it. I would of preferred a slightly later breakfast but 9am isn't ridiculous, would stay again!

I really find it extraordinary that anyone could rate Kilna as excellent. Without wishing to be unkind, the owners who have run this establishment since 1971 have hardly moved forward, except to adapt rooms to changing regulations since then, The decor of the the shared areas dates from, well 1971, and felt grubby and smelt damp. The room we had... More

This is a very convenient location. Spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast and very friendly. Single room is at the front facing the A38 . I found the traffic noise really difficult although others seem fine with it. Worth being aware.. Also the bathroom is quite a way down the hall. But not really a problem. The driveway up to the B&B... More

Stayed at Kilna House for 4 nights over the bank holiday and had a great time. The owners are lovely as is the breakfast! The room was cosy cottage style, with a large comfy bed and large en suite bathroom. The house is perfectly located to see lots of local beaches, sights etc, and the owners are only too happy... Kilna Guest House provided us an excellent stay at a highly convenient point for our travels around East Cornwall. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival by Mrs Turner (Bridget) who escorted to our room. The accommodation was warm, spacious, comfortable and ideal for us and, importantly, our two Golden Retriever dogs. After an early morning dog walk... More

Stayed here a few times when passing on business. Bridget gives a warm welcome and shows you to your room. I enjoy my stay here as I appreciate some of the old brick work tastefully left in some rooms , and the old style furniture around. Clean tidy with all normal facilities available.comfy beds. Breakfast is lovely locally sourced and... More

A trip back to the 1970s both in terms of decor and service. The place was clean enough but smelt strongly of wet dog. The family room was very cramped (should be just a double) and was in need of refurbishment. Whilst I can live with the decor, the towels and bedlinen were threadbare and desperately in need to replacing.... More

I stopped in this wonderful guest house when I was stranded with a broken down car. I have to say, I couldn't have broken down in a better place. Great pub in the nearby village, excellent room, superb cooked breakfast and the friendliest people you could imagine. Woke up well rested and was stunned by the beautiful surroundings, I liked...
