We stayed here for four nights midweek and were wonderfully looked after. As the house is mid-Victorian, the decor and furnishing is traditional throughout - totally in keeping but I'm glad I don't have to do the dusting! Room 1 was warm and very comfortable, though the en suite is small and would benefit from some refurbishment. The breakfasts were...

This B&B is absolutely adorable, the rooms are all so quaint and lovely. All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, large windows with lovely garden views and a decent sized television. I found the bed to be comfy and warm and the towels were so soft and luxurious! The location is perfect and there is good parking if...

Stayed here overnight whilst I did some cycling in the Peak District. Great B&B in a perfect location for cycling. Very helpful staff who communicated well to facilitate my arrival. Superb room with comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. Breakfast was outstanding! Delicious eggs benedict. Only drawback was the inconsistent Wifi.

The hosts were helpful and friendly. Our room was warm and comfortable with a lovely view over the pretty garden. Breakfast was excellent and sourced locally. Cooked to perfection.we were stopping as a break for our golden wedding anniversary and there was a card on our table in the morning, which was a lovely thought.

Just returned from an amazing stay, the owners could not make you more welcome. This B&B is in an ideal position for visiting Matlock, it's a short walk to lots of nice restaurants, bars and beautiful walks. It's also only about a 15 minute walk into Matlock Bath. The room was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was fantastic, with plenty...

I stayed her whilst on a course in Matlock. I was greeted by one of the owners on arrival, and she could not have been more welcoming. My room was bright and spotlessly clean, with a very good selection of refreshments available. The bathroom was also very bright, and larger than most. My room (8) overlooked the gardens which are...

I stayed here for one night whilst researching my family tree at the nearby record office. I was welcomed on arrival by one of the owners who gave me plenty of information. My room was on the top floor and was nicely laid out with an iron bedstead and brown furniture. Decoration, think Monet prints and flowery wallpaper. The en...

Perfect hosts, great breakfast, high spec and comfy rooms. Perfect location. The garden backs onto the river and will be gorgeous in the Summers months. Matlock also has a vibrant bar and cocktail scene for all ages, conveniently located near to the B&B (but not too close to be a nuisance).

My partner and I brought our three year old little girl and my partners mother here for a two night stay. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the location is perfect and the breakfast is outstanding...what more could you want from a guesthouse?! The views of the river from my mother in...

It was my first time in this part of England. I was staying 5 days, looking for property with a view to relocating to the area. Graham and Jenny were the kindest, most thoughtful and helpful hosts (I certainly can't believe the review entitled "Rude!!!"). The guest house and my room were absolutely charming, spotless and had the most comfortable...
