just spent one night at the fabulous Duke of Wellington accommodation. Its in a fantastic area very scenic. The place itself looks very oldie oldie from the outside but great to look at. Rooms were of a good standard, dodgy bathroom light in our room (5), kept flickering all night. Rooms very warm, no air con but apart from that...

Had a one night stay on a walking trip. Room was good, self contained in a small block of outbuildings. Disappointed that food serving seemed to end quite early but the beer was excellent. Seems well run and good value. Breakfast splendid. Would be happy to return.

Nice pub with good food and selection of real ales. Accommodation is in separate building so no noise from the pub - makes for a quiet stay. Rooms comfortable and clean. This was my second visit and it was great to be welcomed by a staff member who remembered my face. Overall great value.

Before I begin, I need to explain that my partner and I are a bit biased when it comes to the quality of Greene King pubs (having worked in the industry for a while), and when we found out they also have accommodation as well, we were a bit wary of the place. Needless to say, our worries were soon...

Stayed here for 1 night with 3 other couples. The Landlord and Landlady had only been in for 3 weeks but it felt like they had been there for years. They were accommodating, friendly and ran an excellent pub. Food was very tasty, good selection of beer and the rooms were charming. We are already talking about making it a...

Lovely relaxed stay. Landlord and Landlady were very welcoming and helpful. Great place to watch the football in the afternoon. Food was good quality and good value. The rooms were in converted buildings to the rear. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was usual fare. All in all a great place for a group of friends away for the evening.

Stayed 1 night. Warm welcome. Clean comfortable room which was not in the pub but just across the yard it was very quiet. I didn't hear any occupants from other rooms. All plumbing was quiet too. Ample parking. Good pub food. Good breakfast. All the staff were lovely. Already planning a return trip.

Situated high up with glorious views, this hotel is within easy reach of the town centre by car and, happily, far enough away from Matlock Bath which, most unexpectedly, resembled the promenade at Southend with its countless fish and chip shops interspersed with amusement arcades. After a long journey, when it would have been nice to take a short nap,...

Had cause to visit on 3 occasions whilst on holiday. Highlight was Sunday lunch - good quality food and plenty of it. Other visits were also found to be as welcomeng and 2 more lots of good pub grub from the 2 for £12 menu. Couldn't go wrong.
