Went unannounced for Sunday lunch in a party of 6. Got a table with ease, surprising given the quality amount & cost of a main course. 3 had the roast beef, 1x gammon,1x ribeye & 1 special liver &bacon. As good as my wife serves....More
BOOKED THROUGH LATEROOMS...
WHEN I BOOKED THE ARRANGEMENT WAS PAY ON ARRIVAL (they took payment instantly)
WHEN I ARRIVED they wanted me to pay again...my payment hadnt got to their bank..even though i gave them a transaction no..showed them my credit card statement...
Lovely decorated rooms in courtyard. Breakfast extra. Well located to local attractions. Very good value for money. Will return again . Bar meals available. Near to Gullivers kingdom and Matlock bath for cable cars etc and Lumsdale falls. Good places to visit.

Stayed here for 2 nights (think it was room 7) and admittedly it was booked for the price so I wholly accept I'm not going to get 4* hotel standards.

I'm not really sure. The accommodation is provided in a building separate from the pub, so it's not that noisy. Obviously, if you go there at the weekends, it might be noisy up to midnight or so, but I couldn't tell. Might... More
