Friendly pub, with a great menu, we ate in the dining room which gave the impression of a modern bistro. There are lots of tea rooms in Bakewell but this is a great alternative for a tasty, reasonably priced lunch, a good selection and fabulous homemade chips.

Visited on bank holiday Monday market day. Staff very polite & welcoming. Only had drinks and Sat in the garden but noticed the food on offer looked very inviting. Good choice of real ales. Also dogs are welcome & even had their own drinking bowls. Recommended

Visited her with the family and our dogs - dogs made welcome and staff brought a bowl of water - we sat outside and it was lovely. The chef made accommodations for my special dietary requirements and the food was home made and lovely. Will be visiting again - thank you

We had a lovely day in Bakewell and were greeted at the Red Lion by a very welcoming, friendly gentleman behind the bar. Our meals were very fresh and tasty. We ate in the courtyard. It is not the prettiest but it was in keeping with the setting in the centre of Bakewell. We are planning to return and stay...

This bar has great food @ a value for money price. Beer is top quality & Guinness is poured properly & presented well. The beer garden is stone but lovely with a great atmosphere, highly recommended. The bar itself is great to eat, may get busy but just muck in & enjoy the atmosphere.
