We visited the Castle Inn for lunch one saturday. The menu had a good choice and the prices were very reasonable and the service was also good. Would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be going back when visiting bakewelk again.

We have visited The Castle several times and always had good lunches. It is a quaint old pub, full of good atmosphere. There is a varied menu and the Staff are friendly and helpful. The meals are a good size.

Nice inn. Very good food. Good beer to. All at reasonable prices. And its dog friendly. Has its own car park for those using the bed and breakfast. Ofph and the breakfasts are really good to. Rooms are clean, en suite and well it's hard to fault this place. If your staying in Bakewell, remember to check here first.

We ate on Friday 5th May and as always had a great meal with drinks for less than £18. Super service quick hot service. There are many places to eat in Bakewell but we always eat here have been patrons here now for almost 3 years and keep coming back.

We booked a 4-night stay and certainly weren't disappointed. Given the family room which was large with 2 double beds and 2 large-screen TVs on the wall, 1 for each bed! Looked as though it had had a complete refurbishment recently. The pub is traditional and friendly with a bar area where dogs are welcome and another food area, which...

We decided to visit Bakewell on bank holiday Monday, saw some great reviews for the Castle Inn on Google so thought we'd give it a whirl. Well, it seemed as though no one at the Castle Inn got the memo that it was bank holiday, with one person on the bar, meaning a huge queue for food and drinks, only...

Given the other reviews I thought the food here would be good but it was terrible. I ordered the lamb shank from the Sunday roast menu but when it came it was missing all the accompaniments. the meat was ok with just a few chips.my husband ordered the mixed grill which was again missing things from the menu..there are much...

This was my third visit. My meal was excellent and served by Carolina who was bright and enthusiastic. We chose to sit in the dog-friendly area near the bar and enjoyed the whole atmosphere. perhaps it might be time to refurbish some of the well worn chairs?? a very minor criticism!

Very nearly didn't venture in as a few people outside smoking. Really busy but managed to squeeze us in on a table in dog area. Booking of 19 due any minute so landlord took our order asap and rushed it for us. Steak in ale pie was delicious, as was scampi. Kids menu great and included pudding. Dogs get treats...
