Stopped over at The Castle Inn on the spur of the moment as the sign outside said it was dog friendly. Super helpful and cheerful staff food was excellent at lunchtime with a good selection of Ales and lathers. Couldn't ask for anything better oh and the dogs get treats on the house as well.

Chain pub with very friendly staff. The young male bartender with glasses was very polite and friendly. Whilst we were there we played board games which made an enjoyable Sunday afternoon. Although we didn't order food it looked great! We would definitely return.

I have to admit at times I didn't sleep that well and after a long days walk, when I wanted an afternoon nap all I could hear was loud music (not from the pub but accommodation behind) which bordered my room, the bakewell suite. There were also a few hairs in the bathroom, which were not mine or my partners....
