We were in a courtyard room across the road, which was surprisingly quiet. The bed was large and comfortable and the lighting was good. Dinner was fully booked, which was a disappointment to us but must be an indication of the high standard of food offered. There was a good choice of freshly cooked items for breakfast, including kippers and...

We visited last Saturday for dinner, bed and breakfast with a group of friends - 14 of us altogether. Easy check in, very helpful staff who catered for our every request, comfortable rooms, cups of tea by the fire on a cold February afternoon. The staff happily brought in a birthday cake, candles alight and the lights turned off so...

All in all we had a great stay in the rutland arms, we were traveling with family for a birthday. Having arrived we unpacked ang got ready for dinner, during getting ready, we realised the bathroom radiator could not be turned down, ( not great to walk in to stiffling heat after a drink at night). At dinner there was...

First impressions of the hotel were favourable, quite imposing in fact. Upon entering the building we were not disappointed. The reception staff were efficient and friendly so booking in was effortless. Our rooms were warm, comfortable and clean with many extras included. Luggage was carried up and put in our rooms while we had a warming drink in front of...

We stayed here for my birthday on 22nd Jan. We were allocated a courtyard room (35) as we also had our dog. These had the convenience (dog wise) of being near the car park and away from the main building. The room was spacious and generally clean and free from any suspicious "dog" smells. The room is also an accessible...
