Had a weekend break there. Staff very friendly, food excellent with a good choice. Situated very central, so easy to walk into town, or walk by the river. Close to other Peak District locations. Would go back

Nice room , great food and for the most part delightful staff. We spent a lovely evening by the open fire in the lobby after dinner and returned after breakfast with the Sunday papers but the fire was unlit and we went in search of warmth as did other visitors who were sat in their coats. After dinner that evening...

We stayed at the Rutland Arms over a cold weekend in January. The compact room was excellent, warm, and had everything we needed. The restaurant was good and offered a good choice for breakfast. The three course evening meal was the highlight of our stay, we were lucky enough to have this included in our deal but would have happily...

It was clean and tidy. Bakewell itself is a beautiful town with great places to eat, lovely shops and great for walkers. The food was lovely in the restaurant...

Stayed here for the walking in the area and were not disappointed in any way. Very clean, historic hotel-Jane Austen stayed here and revised Pride and Prejudice. There are many period touches- don't expect a lift. The staff are friendly and food in the restaurant and bar Is very good, but should you wish to eat elsewhere there are many...

Nice hotel in the centre of Bakewell. This is a small period hotel with limited facilities but it does have character and the staff are very helpful. We had a three course meal in the hotel restaurant which was surprisingly good. We ate in the bar another evening and enjoyed a very good meal at a reasonable price. Overall a...

We stayed here with another couple on a 2 night voucher break which included the meal on the first night. Overall this was very good value as the hotel is well located and the rooms are warm and comfortable. The public areas are also welcoming with open fires and comfortable chairs. The staff are very friendly and helpful and although...
