Great place to stay, central if you are visiting Chatworth and the dales. Big room with nice view. In a world where we have to conform with corporate hotels and coffee shops it is nice to find uniquely different places still exist. Well worth a visit. Everyone is very friendly

The comparison with corporate hotels is brilliant!! Bagshaw Hall does have a unique offer to our guests, providing a very relaxed atmosphere in individually designed rooms, combined with the historic features which makes their stay special and memorable. The central location in Bakewell does allow our guests to walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants in the town, and Chatsworth...

Good sized accomodation, although kitchenette very compact. Breakfast available at additionnal cost. Well situated, five minutes walk from town centre. Free on site parking. Daily housekeeping service and overall good value accomodation. Downsides : the shower cubicle needed a deep clean, and the radiators tapped continuously so it was necessary to switch off the heating at night in order to...

Cleaning is something taken very seriously by our housekeeper and Linda in particular checks every aspect of cleaning and particularly within the bathrooms, so I can’t imagine that a deep clean would be needed in the shower! Pierre must be a very light sleeper as Bagshaw Hall is in a really quiet area of Bakewell, and elevated above the town...

Bagshaw hall is a nice historical building in a nice village with good views from the garden. The room we were in was sort of disappointing though. It is in fact a basement apartment where the window comes on to a walled area. Because people walk there the curtains need to stay drawn ...unless you don't mind people looking in....

It’s good to read that this guest thinks that Bagshaw Hall and Bakewell are both “nice”, perhaps not on a par with Paris, but we like it here! The Vernon Apartment is not “in a basement” but is located on the Ground Floor, off the main reception/ lounge, with a 5 x 1.5 metre, 5-section, stone mullioned window facing South,...

I really like Bagshaw Hall. It's very quiet (being above the town) and extremely well run. The place is extremely clean and the staff wonderfully unobtrusive. It is a superb base from which to explore the Peak District.

What an imposing building, on the outside you can feel the history and the grounds are well kept, on the inside you have all your modern comforts and very clever decor. They keep the feeling old without anything being antique. High ceilings, clean, nice view and modern bathrooms made this stay just what we wanted. You can hear people walking...

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, found it value for money, and that you appreciated our wonderful building and what we have done to it. Breakfast is available either served to your room, or in the breakfast room, and card payments are accepted. Once again thank you for your feedback.

On a freezing cold day, you just want to get in and get settled and that's exactly what we did. Lovely, friendly place and right on the doorstep to Bakewell. Stayed in the Vernon suite, which was spacious, clean and lovely and warm. The owners, Linda their manager and family couldn't have been more helpful, but the dog Frankie...well he...

Our stay at Bagshaw couldn't have been better. We were in the Devonshire apartment (dog friendly) perfect room for us and the dog with plenty of space. We had cooked breakfast delivered the apartment, no complaints, boiling hot and fueled us for our day our walking.

Had 2 great nights at Bagshaw Hall and really can't fault it. We stayed in the 'Garden Room' a cosy very quaint room in the basement, with a window and private back door to the garden. The room also has a second access door into the main house. This room is compact but with a big comfy bed, kitchenette and...
