A lovely guest house, large bedroom with every comfort and very well appointed. Great size bathroom. Very good breakfast. Convenient for town, with parking. Very well looked after by Gaynor. Will definitely stay here again. Great!

We took 2 rooms at Acorn, one family room for our daughter and son and a double room for us. Both rooms were very clean, well presented and had excellent facilities including fridge with bottled water, plenty of tea/coffee and toiletries in the bathrooms. Breakfast was spot on, full English for all and all freshly cooked with excellent quality ingredients....

Stayed here for two nights. The landlady gaynor was lovely. Walking distance into town with lots of places to eat and drink. Accommodation was lovely as was breakfast. Would definitely visit again. Even had a fridge in my room which was a bonus.

Just had 2 nights here B & B. Was greeted by Gaynor with a very warm welcome. The room we had was quite old fashioned, but to us not a problem, it was spotlessly clean, with a lovely shower en suite. Tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk and also a fridge. Large television. Very comfortable bed. Dining room...

We only stayed for one night but would have been happy to have stayed much longer. Lovely bedroom with plenty of storage space, king sized bed, flat screen tv, Iron and ironing board, hospitality tray with the choice of fresh milk if required, Gaynor, the owner has even thought to put a couple of wine glasses in the room. Although decent value for money the rooms are dated and the single bed in the family room lumpy and uncomfortable. the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired and in general the room could do with being cleaner. I have stayed at many lower rated guest houses with much higher standards.

Lovely bedroom, fabulous breakfast, friendly, attentive hosts. What a lovely place. Just a few minutes walk from the town centre so ideal for our stay. If we visit Chesterfield for a night out again we will definitely stay here again!.

Stayed here on business last week and enjoyed a large, bright, clean room, comfy bed and lovely breakfast. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, and the prices represent excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommended.

This was our second stay at the Acorns - we needed somewhere central stay whilst visiting the theatre in Chesterfield. It's a few minutes walk from the city centre but is really quiet and has its own private parking. The owner is really friendly without being OTT, and our room was a really generous size with a lovely big comfy...
