This was our second stay at Lynchetts, a lovely B&B in a great location in Bradford-on-Avon just a 12 minute train ride away from Bath. The house is grand and full of character and the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. We were greeted with tea and homemade biscuits and made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was also delicious with... More

After a long and difficult day of traveling from York, Lynchetts was the perfect place to end one day and start the next. A warm welcome that lasted throughout our comfortable stay.Excellent breakfast. A comfortable room in keeping with the interesting historic building and grounds. We'll definitely be coming back !

Warm welcome for our stay in this building of historic interest. For watchmakers - the Harrison chronometers were taken here during WW2 for safe keeping/ repairs. Comfortable bed and breakfast choice of cereals and lovely cooked breakfast. We were in a double room this will be our first choice when next in Bradford On Avon

The actual location and house itself is lovely. What we found less than charming was the owner of the guest house who from the start of our stay was curt and rude. We were not made to feel welcome and were treated like an inconvenience for most of our stay. Her attitude was dismissive and condescending. The breakfast was good... More

I imagine that from time to time every B&B owner experiences a seriously unhinged guest! This time it was our turn. Sylvia K obviously has a number of serious issues. Our daughter, who is also in the accommodation business, was treated , quite by chance, to a “rant” from Sylvia K as she came into our house that morning with... More

a splendid Georgian house, a grade II listed building. Period features are found everywhere, from fire places to window shutters, from beautiful varnished floorboards that sag and creak to the oak beams across the low ceilings. Our bedroom is delightful, roomy but with low ceilings and oak beams. Tastefully decorated in shades of light blue and greys with old trunks... More

We arrived quite late and were welcomed with a cup of tea and home made biscuits. The landlady was extremely pleasant and organised, and very helpful with helping us to plan our stay. The breakfast was delicious and everything appeared to be homemade. It was very quiet, and such a relaxing atmosphere in the house. It was very warm, lots... More

Beautiful old building which is furnished entirely in character. If you like soft furnishings everywhere then go somewhere else. Good breakfast with plenty of fresh homemade produce. Free parking which is a real bargain in this town although a little away from house. We had a very pleasant stay and would certainly book again if in area. Once again the... More

Beautifull house with many original features. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good, with homemade products. The garden was a big surprise! It's a short walk to the village. We had a lovely walk through the centre and along the canal.

We were made to feel very uncomfortable by the landlady who left notes telling us we had left lights on, and criticised us for not understanding the direction to the hotel she also continually complained about us parking outside the B&B, to the point where a traffic warden asked me to move my car as he had received complaints. Then... More

This reviewer was booked into our lovely "studio" so just read other reviews! This sullen youth was brought by his father and, not having read the description, they had booked the studio which has a king size bed- intended for couples, not two singles! They had the option of changing accommodation to our cottage Hollyhocks where other family members were... More

Stayed here whilst walking the Kennett & Avon canal so wanted somewhere near the station to get train out (Pewsey on day 1, Keynsham on day 2) and then walk back along canal. Walking with a male colleague, so wanted twin beds. Excellent room in the attic (although the stairs were steep!), with a loo en suite, a sitting room... More
