Booked a family dinner for 10 with ease via email.Had a lovely meal the night before visiting Longleat. The menu had something to suit most tastes. The Steak pie was full of steak and really tasty, would have been nicer if it was a proper pastry bottom and top but still very nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. Access to the eating...

Had as lovely time, staff very friendly and rooms clean. In the summer would be nice to sit outside with a drink The evening meals were of good value and enough choices. Breakfast was of good quality and plenty of choices Location excellent for Longleat and Bath.

We booked here as a stop over before meeting family at Centre Parcs and it was a lovely stay. The room was wonderful, bathroom amazing! The food was delicious and had such a lovely country atmosphere. There was a quiz night that evening, that we joined in on, completely lost but was good fun. Great value for money, and we...

I do not generally enjoy carveries but was treated to a Sunday carvery here last week. The food was superb, the potatoes crispy - as good as home cooked, plenty of fresh vegetables and succulent meat. All in all it was superb.

Visited The George on May Day - jugging on how busy the place was it is obvious the place is popular with local and tourists alike. The food was very nice and service was good. I have one little gripe, the layout of the tables/seating in some areas is really badly positioned. As I say, the place was busy so...

I had never been to this pub and a work colleague suggested a group of us come here for lunch, as we had heard that the food was good. The place certainly lived up to all we had heard about it. We received a warm welcome and after ordering our drinks we went to our table. Some of us had...

We stumbled upon this pub on our way to Dorset. Looked at some reviews before we went in and were not disappointed. Smashing old pub, the staff were all so welcoming and kind, and the food was delicious. We all had different meals and were equally very happy with everything. I can recommend the roasted ham and mustard sandwiches, comes...

The George Inn for the Sunday Carvery must be experienced. Lovely selection of meats and vegetables at a very reasonable price. We managed to get a table without booking but it was very busy so reserving a table would be advisable. I would highly recommend the food was fantastic!

The George is my local, and as such is a very friendly and welcoming place. During the winter a roaring fire is there to warm you, and in the summer a large beer garden with childrens activities is there to welcome you. The food is excellent, with special deals for the over 60's. (I'm one!). The staff are brilliant, with...

We didn't have a very good experience at The George Inn. My husband, 1 year old son and I visited here as it was on our way to Bath and having a child in a car seat and me being 9months pregnant meant we had to stop somewhere on the way. We pulled in as it looked nice and had...
