I booked at the Shrewsbury Lodge at short notice on a visit to Belfast and it is a great location for the ferry. I received a very warm welcome and a great room. Everything was perfect. I arrived in time to go to the Caernarvon Castle just up the road for supper. Wi-fi in the hotel worked perfectly and was...

Arrived after a long drive to be greeted by the owner. A really warm welcome and went out of her way to inform me on the surrounding area and local attractions. Fantastic rooms, kept in immaculate condition, with free WiFi and a lovely Tearoom adjoined. Lovely area and close to all amenities. Highly recommended... I'll definitely be back!

Spent 2 nights here whilst visiting our daughter. We were contacted for our eta and received a genuinely warm welcome on arrival. We stayed in room 1 which was very small but had everything we required. Full English breakfast was extra but good value and 'set us up for the day'. We will definitely return.

Lovely airy rooms, clean and comfortable, and we got the two top rooms which meant we could stick 3 kids in one, and sleep in the other without worrying. Showers were a bit weak, but all in all a very positive experience. Staff were great too. Would definitely use again.

What a adorable gem of a place. Hidden in oxton. A fresh modern tea room with a vintage feel. Lovely original artwork for sale by local artists on the walls, we got really looked after very well by the family run hotel. The garden is a real English beauty with its big mixture of flowers. I had a coffee next...

We booked here as it was close to a friend we were visiting. Our room was spacious and clean but a bit dated. Could do with a refresh. However the staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. Would stay here again.
