As the secretary of a new choir based in the Banbridge area, I was responsible for organising the inaugural meeting and (not being from the immediate area) found The Belmont Hotel on line but was a little concerned about the mixed reviews. I spoke directly to Michael Ross (Manager/Duty Manger?) and over several conversations was reassured about the venue. On... More

Very happy stay. Delightful staff, couldnt be more helpful. Really lovely room. Im baffled why the planned refurb is going ahead, it's already a very smart historic Georgian mansion in great, stylish condition. Hotel food is what you'd expect - a bit pricy for what you get but fine nonetheless

four of us had dinner at the Belmont hotel last night. Relaxed and comfortable and the food was first class. Very varied menu choices and everything was cooked to perfection. Good selection of wines and from start to finish the staff attended us discreetly and with a friendly approach. Surroundings are peaceful and we will definitely be back for a... More

Just visited here for a 21st birthday party in cocktail bar. While the D J was great, the bar staff too ( when they stopped talking to each other about last night's antics) I wasn't impressed with the plastic glasses.. All drinks were served in plastic glasses. I mean, the price of drink was above average, but to be served... More

Even with new ownership/ management this hotel appears to struggle with ratings and from a restaurant perspective the kitchen appears to be the source of the dissatisfaction? Came across this hotel quite by accident and decided to have an evening meal. It is ideally situated off the main Dublin - Belfast road (but not well advertised) and easily reached irrespective... I have written a review before on this hotel stating the poor service. It is now under new management so decided to give it another try - well nothing has changed here. Service is absolutely dreadful - waiter was very attentive but I think the chef must have been on a 'go slow' or he had decided to try to... More

I had a very poor meal here. The vegetable lasagne was not cooked in a deep dish as it should have been, It was thrown together in a mound. It also took 20 minutes to cook - something I was not advised of when I ordered it. The charge of £10.50 was outrageuos, My companion's thin chicken curry sauce made... More
