Managed to get a room here for a last minute get-away. The check in was quick and the receptionist very pleasant. Our room was spacious and very clean. It was also very cosy with a bed you hated to get out of (very comfy). Good sized bathroom with plenty of towels. Breakfast was excellent, good selection of hot breakfast as...

Last minute stay over on Valentines night. The hotel itself is grand, it's a 3 star and looking a bit neglected in parts, but generally fine. Rooms were spacious and everything worked, a couple of bits of cracked plaster and mouldy in the corner of the bathroom, but nothing terminal. Staff were helpful, breakfast grand and a gentle 30 minute...

Stayed recently and while there was nothing to "offend" the whole place could just do with a bit of love and atmosphere. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are clean. The mattresses are very cheap and the bedclothes are showing their age. The bar and restaurant were deserted when we were there but I expect its different...

I loved it. Anyone who has read my reviews knows that I am hard to please. I reckon I work hard and I expect good value for my money, If I'm not happy with something then I say so and from start to finish this was excellent. The rooms were four star level, the restaurant was good and the staff...

Spent two nights here. Great facilities, friendly staff, excellent choice of food and plenty of it. Rooms are comfortable, clean, cosy and most important, very quiet. A short drive to the centre of the town and within easy reach of various places of interest in the area. Terrific hotel and great value for money.

We were here for the Sunday carvery but doubt we will be in a rush back! The system is that you pay for your meal at reception and then you are taken into the dining room! There is very little that is welcoming about this system, especially when you are met by a guy called William who probably should not...

I have stayed and the hotel a handful of times now and always have a restful stay. The rooms are modern, clean and have all you would need for a comfortable night. Communal areas are comfortable if dated, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast are fresh, cooked to order and tasty. Car parking is plentiful.
