We stayed three nights in early May so we were close to Belfast and Ballymena to explore family connections. It was easy to find and in a great location. Room was one flight up so fairly easy to bring up our bags. Bed was comfortable and room was a good size. Breakfast each day was good and food in bar...

We recently enjoyed a night at The Dobbins Inn Hotel. It is a wonderful old inn with a lot of character (and history, it dates back to the 12th century). Although we did not experience any ghostly events in our room (much to the children's disappointment) we were very impressed with our clean, comfortable room and the friendliness of the...

Absolutely disgusted with staff members at Dobbins Inn! my sister and her friend stayed last night with their two children both under 6 years old. Due to another person staying in the room they booked that night (they were willing to pay for that person in the morning) staff members confronted them at breakfast demanding they pay right away. The...

Thank you for your review. I welcome the opportunity to respond on this occasion. Mrs Fisher checked in with me on Friday afternoon. The booking was for 1 adult and 2 children, however there were two children, 2 adults and a teenager in the party. I queried this-Mrs Fisher stated that one of the party was staying elsewhere and the...

I stayed in room 8. Right above the bed is a hatch into the loft. As I was falling asleep I noticed a glow coming in from around the edges... The loft light was on. Or was it something else? Dobbins has a ghost you see. And I guess it was the ghost's glow I saw in the attic... Apart...

Called in for lunch good as allways overheard chefs having a bit of a laugh in kitchen talking in 60s New York gangster style. All I can say is I will soytenly be back. Love to see good working moral. Would recommend the torkey.

Chose Dobbins for a family lunch today and we were all impressed, there was a lot of choice on the menu, prices were very reasonable and staff pleasent, food arrived in generous portions and tasted lovely, would definitely return on any future visits to carrickfergus.

Why would you stay in some modern purpose built hotel when you can stay at Dobbins Inn, you can feel the history that it has. We enjoyed a two night stay choosing the room rumoured to be most haunted. After the lovely food and cold Guinness I slept so well nothing would have awakened me. Breakfast was excellent and set...
