Don't be fooled, this hotel may look very basic, but the rooms are adequate with en suite. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly. This is a typical Irish pub restaurant and hotel. Will stay there again on my next trip.

This was a return visit to Dobbins Inn and I wasn't disappointed as it has had a make over. Nothing out of keeping with the ambience of the hotel but smartened up and looking good. The staff are friendly and helpful, an asset in this day and age! The menu has changed and a few favourites from the last visit...

Had dinner last night in dobbins Inn and it was really tasty and good value. The menu has a good variety of dishes. We had lasagne and a roast turkey dinner. Good portions. You will be well fed! The hotel is a really historic building and a lovely setting. The food came in good time and the service was polite...

My husband & I stayed at Dobbin's Inn in Carrickfergus for two nights! Lovely hosts & suburb breakfasts!! We met some great people in the pub & enjoyed our meal - so delicious! Lots of history & folklore in this old Inn.

Just 3 minutes walk from the Carrickfergus Castle is the Dobbins hotel. Quaint rooms in this old building are clean and tidy, meals are great in the pub below and the staff are helpful. Nearby parking is low cost and the area has lots to explore.

Stayed here after a long flight from Australia and then a drive from Dublin. Needed a good nights sleep. We were on the top floor facing the road. Early evening there were marching bands for some hours, then after they left drunken people swearing, fighting and urinating in the street. When all had finally settled and we managed to sleep...

Dear Guest, I am sorry that your stay with us was not a peaceful one. However the marching bands is a parade that is completely nothing to do with the hotel, nor are the people that come along with them. This parade was a one off organised by the town council and we were very unhappy that it was not...

As a local and who had walked past many times of this place I thought I'd try the lunch menu with my daughter, both of us were pleasantly surprised, the menu was good, food arrived promptly and was very tasty, good value and will eat again for sure here. Decor is a little dark but it is an old building...

My first visit to Ireland and an excellent place to base for the next few days. We were given a warm welcome by the receptionist and then, later on, by the owner who had time to chat with us. Situated in view of the castle, (reputed tunnel between the two) it is a rustic hotel with character. The front rooms...
