Again can't fault the welcome and, how well we were looked after, food was good and well priced rooms very comfortable overall still good value for money. It's not huge but, with a good mix of good food great beer and welcoming service it is a great place as a base for the region

Expensive (£80 including breakfast) and disappointing. Food terrible with cheese sandwich and Vegetarian lasagne the sole veggie options. Barman surly, towels old and noisy neighbours. Comfortable bed the only saving grace.

Attentive waitress( we thought) but when our food came out nearly every dish was wrong. Unfortunately they had to go back...quickly rectified and we enjoyed. Expensive for what you get from a pub menu.

We have always enjoyed visiting the Rose & Crown but today I was extremely disappointed. I booked for myself and 5 friends for a Xmas dinner and to begin with we were not impressed to be put in a corner with two round tables pushed together (which obviously did not work)Then we found ourselves surrounded by about 25 people standing...

We always visit this pub when we are in Carmarthen. The food is very reasonable, good portions and lots of choice. Good amount of choice for meat eaters, fish eaters and vegetarians so suited us all. Look around the pub at the excellent Welsh rugby memorabilia very interesting, you cannot get in here in match days though!! Rugby match days...

Stayed for one night for a business trip. The Rose and Crown is located on one of the main shopping streets in Carmarthen, a one way st. Quite easy to find I guess, but the satnav took me to the wrong end, so took a while to find it. Found a car park around the corner which was free until...

Stayed one night, very popular for dinner, and lots of friendly locals having a drink. Rooms were spotless and good size. We stayed on a Saturday night at the front with the window open, quite busy outside with club goers going home, but the noise didn't bother us, quite entertaining. Ask for a back room if you need silence. Breakfast...

Booked this hotel as it was a convenient place to stop en route to Fishguard. We weren't too impressed at first, but after walking through the door our perception changed. We were welcomed by a very nice young man (didn't get his name) and he helped with the luggage and showed us to our room. The room was very comfortable and...
