We waited about forty minutes for our meals though to be fair they did warn us after thirty that it would be 'another five or ten minutes'. When the food arrived, well... My scampi and chips were piping hot but the mushy peas were tepid. My daughter had opted for the steak pie and that and the gravy were nice,...

Also they have a terrific range of REAL ales which change weekly so there is always one to suit your...

For £5.99 each we had a choice of sandwiches, chips and a drink...

A lovely old pub, with a great atmosphere and surroundings. Delicious food and ales, all at competitive prices My husband said the battered fish was one of the best he had ever tasted. Would return and highly recommend.
