Wasn't impressed at all, service was poor, food was poor, room was way over priced. There is nothing else in the village so I had to stay there because of family there. I've now stayed there 3 or 4 times and it's has got no better over the last couple of year.

I know a person who says that the gammon here is the best she has had. Having said that it seems a bit faded and tired internally. There is a huge fireplace. The bar has character but on the cold day we visited the fire was not alight. The food I think was OK. I had a decent steak but...

A lovely historic place with a lovely pub with its own history & marvellous coated pink- which helps spotting it 😊 Staff are very friendly & the menu is very enticing & freshly made. I was fortunate to have a room that orovided me the view of the sunset. A little noisy due to the main road but that's ideal...

Went for dinner with friends and our experience was so bad it was amusing. There was only one waitress to serve the restaurant and bar area. We waited over an hour for our food. When it arrived to be fair the food was ok although nowhere near as good as previous meals we've had there. By the end of our...

This place has mixed reviews, but as it was ideal for anyone working on the old Alconbury airfield site as I was, thought I'd give it a go. I think it's a mistake to try to sell it as a "country hotel" -it's an old village pub with rooms, an inn, and as such it's okay. My room was large...

This hotel isn't like a hotel down park lane! It is though small, quaint and cosy! Reasonable prices, good food, well kept real ales, and the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and nearly to local amenities, Would I return, yes I probably would if I was back in the area again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Not modern at all just a typical Old English building. Clean and comfortable with nicely cooked food. No airs or graces.Everyone was down to earth and so friendly. Honest, chatty staff. We will go again.Fully recommended.

Firstly I will start by saying I was really happy with my stay and 85% of this was because of the fantastic staff! Was made to feel really at home and very welcomed! The room was a different animal though it had some quirky characteristics eg it was in a slight incline however this added to the character of the...

Really good value for the price given the location. A bit old and dated in parts but adds to the charm. Nice comfortable bed and good meal in the bar area. A good local pub with a good welcome. Full English breakfast included in the price. Definitely would stay again
