Excellent hotel, very well located, near the market and the bus stop. The family who welcomed us is extraordinary. They kindly helped us even though we had a problem on the bus.
The owner's daughter speaks perfect English.
The room is large, comfortable and everything is extremely clean.
Thank you to the whole family for so much kindness and smiles!! 😍

Wauw, the rooms are incredibly clean! There is not one single peace of dust to find in the whole building, even not under the beds. We saw the cleaning lady taking at least 30 minutes for one room to clean it from top to toe. Amazing! Our room was very spacious with two big rooms facing the streets. The hotel is in the middle of the center. A great location. The guy from the reception doesn't speak proper english, but with a translator on his phone we made it work. A very comfortable place to go to.

Sa Dec is a delightful riverside town and thoroughly worth visiting, unlike
Vinh Long. We spent 2 nights at the Thao Ngan Hotel in a large bright sunny room with bath and air conditioning overlooking the market (300,000 VND per night). The hotel is family run and you are given a warm welcome, and also you can look at as many rooms as you like before you make your room choice! WiFi in our room was too weak to be of any use, but we just walked down one flight of stairs and used the big table on the mezzanine level. From Vinh Long just take the local bus for 13,000 VND but you will get asked 5,000 VND per large backpack.

Booked 3 room s for 3 night but changed hotel after first night , first room got stains on the sheets so ask to change the sheet , workers were happy to change , ok changed it , but 10 mins later hotel manager came up and started to being rude cause I ask the worker to change the sheet and that we are wasting the manager workers time cause they need to clean something else , then the Manager started saying something in Vietnamese and gave us a rude look! Bugs around rooms and on the sheets ! Second room stain again ask to change also ! As we are leaving the hotel for dinner , we told the receptionist about a manager coming up and started yapping about us changing the sheet ! While the receptionist while guess what up ? was rude also ! Just find another hotel ! It's a old hotel with some room redone ! Stains , and bugs

Ten minutes walk from the bus station brought me to Thao Nagan. My room was large, comfortable bed,air con,fridge,T.V. and good quality, modern bathroom. What more can one ask? Well, the room was very thoroughly cleaned daily,no-one tried to sell me anything and the price very reasonable. .Breakfast is not provided, but immediately outside are numerous cafés and street food in abundance. For a slice of authentic Vietnamese life, this is hard to beat.

The room was large and immaculate. The shower had hot water and the air-conditioner worked well. The bed had the typical extra firm Vietnamese mattress which I find hurts my back after a while, but pretty much all the budget accommodation options have the same style of bed.

The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke some English. They vacated their outside table and chairs so we could eat our takeaway Pho there with our toddler and they cleaned up the mess he made before we had a chance to do so ourselves. They even brought us out some filtered water without us asking for it.

The location was great, right in the centre of the Sa Dec market.

If you like luxury or high end accommodation then you would be best looking elsewhere. However we paid about 300,000 VND per night and thought it was great value and exceeded our expectations of a budhet hotel. I think you would be hard pressed to find something better within that price bracket.

I have stayed here for two nights with my girl friend, for 250.000 per night. We had a nice clean room with a/c, tv, fridge and a large bathroom. The shower had hot water, which was the first hot shower in some time.. The personel was very friendly and spoke some english. The location is great, the market is right outside.

I felt safe and well looked after in this Vietnam style business hotel oft the small Mekong delta town Sa Dec where I had travelled to because of Marguerite Duras' novel The Lover. The hotel does not offer breakfast but complimentary tea all the day long. My room was very clean and had all the amenities you need for a brief stay. The proprietor speaks some English and helped me to organize my trip to my next stop over. The value for money can not be beaten.

Nice rooms and good showers, but very little English is spoken, so don't count on much information concerning onwards travel. The address provided here is a bit wrong, the hotel is more on Lac Long Quan (when you're standing in front of the market hall, it's the street to the right... can't miss the hotel sign). Bus station only ten minutes by foot.
