My wife and I stayed overnight at the Longlands after completing our Lancaster canal walk and were certainly glad we did so. And it was a good job we booked because the place was heaving, particularly in the bar area. We enjoyed a very good meal at a very reasonable price, had a good kip and then an excellent breakfast....

We stopped here with our daughter and dog for 2 nights on our journey home from Torquay. I had booked a 1 bed cottage however on arrival we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a 2 bed. Everything about the cottage was top notch with all mod cons even down to the Krups coffee machine! The cottages are owned...

We choose this hotel as a stopover during a long trip mainly due to the price, what I didn't expect was the exceptional service we received from Ross and Bev who were both fantastic and prepared to go the extra mile with no prompting or reason other than to highlight the hotel and encourage us to return which we will...

We stayed in a one bedroom cottage attached to this very popular country inn. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished to a good standard. There is an option to take breakfast in the inn but on a summer day it would be a pity not to breakfast in the lovely private garden at the rear. It is possible to book the...

We stayed here last night for our anniversary. Good points excellent staff, lovely card at dinner to acknowledge that it was our anniversary, quick and early(requested) check in. Extremely dog friendly. We were put in room 5, room itself lovely, very comfy bed and nice shower........however terrible view of the flat roof, really noisy extractor fans, my partner had to...

We stayed in one of the cottages and when we opened the door we certainly got the wow factor. It was very modern and clean. After a long journey we had a meal in the restaurant food was very good. In the morning we had their award winning breakfast which again was faultless with friendly and efficient staff. The location...

Just a couple on minutes from the motorway and set beside a canal, marina and lodge/caravan complex, this busy hotel is well worth a visit. It was more a stop over for us than an extended stay so I cannot say much about activities in the surrounding area but the hotel was very good. Efficient and friendly check in, very...

When I booked this venue over their website it seems I made an oversight and only booked one room instead of two! When I realised this the staff at Longlands were brilliant, they went above and beyond to ensure we got an apartment overlooking the marina instead as they were full. The apartment was lovely and my little room in...

Stayed here on business but would come for vacation in a heart beat. The on site restaurant offers good value, quality food and all at reasonable prices. Close by there is a canal and marina and just at the side of the hotel is a complex of cottages catering for small groups. Facilities all round are excellent and would certainly...

On a 3 day cycle tour of Yorkshire and Lancashire our group of 18 stayed at the Longlands on the first night. Reception staff had worked with me in advance to provide smooth check in and payment. Pre ordered food arrived as selected and was excellent. Secure storage for bicycles was provided. Would strongly recommend a stay here.
