The staff were amazing in sorting out accommodation for two elderly disabled members of our party and the accommodation was spot on for their needs. The afternoon tea was excellent with a great range of fresh sandwiches and cakes. The evening meal again was excellent although I wish I'd been brave enough to tackle the Tomahawk steak which looked spectacular... More

A party of four we called for lunch. The staff were very helpful and the service was good. Two of our party had the fish and chips which they enjoyed. One had the vegetarian mac and cheese and I had the lobster mac, both of these dishes were tasteless. As the menu at the time was 50% off I was... More

We dined here whilst on a self catering holiday in the area and fortunately arrived about 6pm on a Tueday to discover that most of the main course menu is half price until about 6.30pm - I think Monday to Friday We both opted for calves liver and onions which was delicious - served slightly pink - ideal. Not having... More

Spent one night in the hotel whilst celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Reception staff were lovely. The room was modern and spotless. Bed very comfortable! Would happily stay again. Didn't get a chance to try the food... maybe next time!

This was our second visit to the hotel. We go to Scotland every year and have used this hotel as a stopping off point to beak a long journey from Devon. The rooms are lovely, the food is brilliant and all the staff are very friendly, Richard in the restaurant made us feel very welcome. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We stayed for an overnight stop to break up a long journey. Arriving mid afternoon on a Saturday, the lawns were full of families and folk enjoying the sunshine. Check in took minutes and we were shown to our room by a lovely lady. The room was bright and airy, immaculately clean with an ample en suite, tea, coffee etc... More

Four of us stayed in a 2 Bedroom Cottage adjacent to the hotel for a week & had a brilliant holiday, our friends arrived a little later than us & rather than venture out in the dreadful weather that evening, we decided to eat locally. We stayed one night in Lapwing room. Very clean and fresh with comfortable bed. Large room with ensuite and all we could ask for. Breakfast was great with good choice. English breakfast was freshly cooked and served without delay. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area.

Rented a cottage at Longlands for a family re-Union. Arrived at the cottage, was quite impressed from the outside, but when we opened the door it took our breath away. Absolutely fantastic inside, very luxurious and well sound proofed as it is right at the side of the M6. Once you were in you just couldn't tell there was a... More

My boyfriend and I booked a night away over the bank holiday weekend. We booked a 'King sized bed'. However when we arrived the bed was no bigger than a double. The room was small and dingy. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Unfortunately none of our standard double rooms have king size beds in them, therefore there must be an error with the website you had booked the room with, so I thank you for bringing this to my attention.
