I wasn't going to write a review, I never do. I am aware of the effect it can have on a business. I am here now. I am a newcomer to the whole living in a van thing. 2nd week homeless. I am autistic. I have a small well behaved beloved dog who is my only companion in life, my family. She never strays from me. Anyway, I went out in the hail to get my laundry from a quite expensive small laundry full of wet water and someone else dirty clothes in the tub all day. I am self contained but went around the corner to go use the ladies. I heard talking and thought it might be nice to say hello. A man there said "you aren't taking that in there with you are you?" I tried to explain my disability and need for her to be with me wherever I go. Nah. I struggled back to my little van with a huge pile of laundry and my small darling "thing' in following. No offer of help or quiet explanation, just mean and rude. I won't be back. Oh and all the ground smells like grey water when it rains and it is muddy and filthy with nowhere paved to stay away from the dirt. Don't get a cut.…

The location in a park setting with a few farm animals was what attracted us to this place. The unit itself was comfortable and average cleanliness. The Wifi didn't work most of the time which was annoying and the bathroom door didn't close properly.

Extremely clean and well presented. Good value for money. We have stayed at the camp twice and found the staff OK. Camp is handy to many bike trails and the classic Rimutaka Incline tunnel route to the Wairarapa.

We were booked in for a 4 night camping stay while visiting family nearby but ended up staying the first two nights in a motel unit as the weather was very wet and cold. The unit was comfortable and clean, with everything provided in the way of kitchen facilities. Heat pump was great, excellent shower, super comfy bed. We then switched to the tent for 2 nights. The shared kitchen and toilets were very clean. My partner said the men's shower was ok pressure wise but the ladies was great, and both had plenty of hot water. Nice area to sit outside and eat. Very quiet, beautiful surroundings and in the tent at night we could hear the river and a nearby morpork. Friendly, helpful campsite owner, ducks and chickens wandering around - all up a very peaceful, relaxing and comfortable stay - would definitely stay again.…

We came for three nights, initially in a tent but a cold snap meant this was too chilly for our baby so we changed to a cabin after the first night. Good, clean facilities in general, only missing a lounge area however it was dry & sunny so no problem. We enjoyed the animals (rabbits, pony & goats) which all seemed well cared for. Staff were friendly & helpful. We'll definitely stay here next time we're down this way.

I have stayed at the holiday park twice now both times with my 9-year-old daughter, we stay in a tent in an unpowered section of the camp. It is awesome the grass is short and well kept and only a very short distance to the facilities block. There are some friendly chickens and ducks that visit your tent. The Facilities are very well equipped the kitchen has plenty of stovetops and sinks to use they also supply nice clean tea towels and washing up liquid as well as a good selection of pots, pans, and cutlery. There is a really good size outdoor table where you can share a meal with fellow campers, The showers and toilets are really clean with plenty of handsoap toilet paper and paper towels. Keith and his team do a great job and are very welcoming I will continue to stay here whenever I am in the Wellington area.…

We stayed at the camp ground for a concert in Wellington (very busy weekend all accommodation in the city was booked out). The motel unit could sleep up to five or six people. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything you would need including an oven. The bathroom was very small and lacked storage but as there was only the two of us it was fine for an overnight stay. There was a good supply of hot water and towels. Only soap was provided, no shampoo. The unit was very cold on arrival at midday however there was a air conditioning unit that we used and then set to turn on later in the evening before we arrived back after the concert. There was no noise from other guests and it was a quick trip in and out of Wellington. The bed was comfortable and the unit was clean. We only interacted with the manager who was polite and helpful.…

This place should not be called a holiday Park at all. It had no facilities for children to play on and it also has unwelcoming gardens and there are random old vehicles just parked at the entry. We stayed in the tourist flat and the night we got there read the reviews which we should have done when we booked the place. The reviews explained that the manger walks around the park and just randomly looks through windows and into peoples cabins. Our tap was leaky so we asked the manager to come down and have a look. He was being a smartalik and turned the tap very tight so that it would leak. Really rude service and will not stay again.

Clean facilities, campsites sheltered by big trees, next to a park, reasonable rates, great for kids, friendly staff, this camp is old school relaxed and quiet and is right next to the rimutaka incline bike trail, what more could you want?
