This is the second time we have stayed at The Alverton & we could stay again & again. It is so relaxing, beautiful old building filled with lovely furniture, extremely clean, very friendly, smiley staff, delicious food & the breakfast is served at the table which makes a welcome change from the usual queue for the buffet! Only a short walk to the town centre. Lovely sight at night with the fairy lights along the path leading to the hotel. It's just beautiful. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add an exclusive spa. Keep doing what you're doing as we'll be back & will highly recommend. Thank you xxx

We had a 2 night stay - the hotel has so much character and the staff were all lovely . Nothing was too much trouble - we had to leave early and really appreciated the breakfast they packed to go . We slept and ate well - and would definitely return. We found it an easy walk into Truro.

Dear Stowies, Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. The Alverton really is full of character and we just had the history painted on the wall so our guests can read the journey of the building. The staff are the heart of the hotel so I'm pleased they were very helpful and even made you an early breakfast to go. It would be a pleasure to welcome you again. Made a last-minute booking for the executive suite, which was no problem at all. Extremely nice room, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely bar area that was open late, even on Sunday. All in all, it was an amazing experience, and I'd very much like to stay again. Special thanks to Emma and the night porter for going the extra mile to make my stay extra comfortable and enjoyable.

We had our wedding at The Alverton last weekend and we were completely blown away by how perfect everything was. Clare is absolutely amazing! From the very start we felt at ease with Clare’s help to plan our wedding, it was amazing to see how structured the planning process was right down to the finer details for our special day. We regularly had meetings to discuss our requirements and any changes or updates to our plans not to mention the countless emails or calls she responded too. Clare is a credit to already great team at The Alverton. There aren’t enough words to describe how thankful we are for Clare’s guidance, support and how she organised everything on our wedding day. She made us and our guests feel completely at ease. A big thank you to the rest of the Alverton team nothing is too much trouble combined with their kind and professional approach. The guests loved the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet. The service was amazing and so fluid. The guests also commented on how lovely the staff and the establishment were and they will be returning. As will we be.! Thank you again to Clare and the team for making our day so special.

Had to make a last minute booking for a Saturday night. Booked a single room which was fabulous. Large single bed more like a small double. Lots of lovely amenities and gorgeous fluffy towels. As a woman staying on my own you can sometimes feel a bit vulnerable but the staff and the ambience of the hotel made me feel very safe and comfortable. The vast and varied breakfast menu was amazing and included in the very reasonable room price. Free on site parking is a real bonus. I will definitely be back.

Dear Trough F, I'm thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your stay and thank you for sharing your experience. All the classic single rooms have a small double bed and are still a nice size bedroom for sole occupancy. The staff are the heart of the hotel and it makes me so proud to know that as a solo traveler the staff and ambience made you feel comfortable and at ease. The breakfasts are a must have when staying at The Alverton so I'm pleased you enjoyed it and liked the varied menu. We hope to welcome you again. Best wishes Larissa Guest Relations Manager

What a super hotel, it is absolutely stunning inside and out. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was lovely, and the drinks were not overpriced either. It is so close to Truro City Centre but you feel like you are tucked away in the the countryside. We loved it and would definitely recommend choosing this hotel.

My wife and I booked ourselves in for a 1 night stay away from home for a little Birthday treat. I can only say our stay was absolutely fantastic. We were met at reception by a very nice and friendly young lady called Amy. She was absolutely fantastic at booking us in. Next we went to our room, which was warm, lovely and clean and very comfortable. The staff had left us a bottle of bubbly and a birthday card as a nice treat. We later went to the bar where we had a few drinks and some snacks and nibbles from the menu. The bar staff were great, friendly and chatty. We ordered some baked camembert, with some bread and olives. It was delicious, warm and tasty. After we retired to our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and warm. In the morning the breakfast was delicious. The service was fantastic. Nice coffee, toast and a full English. Absolutely loved all of it. I can only say we had a very nice time. We will definitely be back. The staff are an absolute pleasure and credit to the business. Thank you 100% recommended.
