This hotel is amazing in many ways. It's beautifully decorated, has a top class buffet restaurants, a really nice garden with many pools and staff that are very service-minded. And they take all measures to make sure that no-one is affected by covid-19. On the downside, are small details. I personally, think that the place is oversized, which makes you feel like a grain of sand in a desert. The knives in the restaurant are really bad, so slicing through a beef a not that easy for someone with a hand injury - like me. And, one could wish that the food was better seasoned and that the meat served at the grill was better taken care of. One thing I do think is bad for a 5-star hotel is that there are pretty much no or extremely few options for people with a need for a non-diary diet. This needs to be improved. The rooms are nice, but lack a few hooks on the wall for easy storage of jackets and similar items. All in all, I do recommend the place. We stayed there for 4 weeks, so we know it pretty well.…
We use to travel a lot, and we visit many good and very good hotels, but if you enter the front gate of Lopesan Baobab, you already know that this one is special! Is like botanic garden with rivers and pools looking like lakes, with privet beach and all kind of animals decorating whole area. Hotel in African style but really Luxurious. In the hotel you can find everything what you need during your holidays. Stuff is amazing, and make everything to make your stay unforgettable even during COVID, first time since a year we could feel normal again! Thank you Team Baobab for the wonderful time, we miss you already!
This hotel is really good. The service is great, rooms are nicely decorated and the food is really tasty in general - although it could be seasoned better. In addition to that, there are very few non-dairy alternatives for breakfast as well as for lunch and dinner - if you want something other than plain fruit for dessert. There are often about 10 different desserts to choose from, but simply no non-dairy alternatives. Not good enough for a 5 star hotel. But apart from that, we were really happy with our stay. And the hotel is making sure to keep everyone safe during the corona virus.
The hotel is lovely. Nice stuffs at front desk. Felt welcome when we arrived but the service at Richard Burton made the start of my staying annoyed. Asked for menu and the waitress said I can scan the QR code. Fine by me but she never came back and asked if I would like to have some drink lol I meant she walked passed me like hundred times but never asked me if I have decided what I want. I could ask yes but don’t you think when the customer asked for menu, at bar in a 5 star hotel, shouldn’t you come back and ask if that customer want something? Very poor service. Will be here 7 nights and this is the first night so things might change but right now I can’t give 5 points for the first day visit: 3 is more than enough. If it’s not because of the front desk I might give it 2
Staying in this hotel in November 2020. The staff is courteous and offer very good service. Everyone is there for you with a smile and is very helpful. The room was ample, clean and the bed was comfy. Absolutely beautiful, very grand reception, lovely maintained grounds and landscaping & beautiful pools. Restaurant food fell way below expectations, normal repetitive food. Face masks are mandatory everywhere in the hotel, apart from sitting at the table or at the pool area. Also, the Wi-Fi speed was very good for a hotel network and was accessible from every part of the hotel.
