We have been at Lopesan Villa del Conde (LVC) twice in the last 4 months, and have recommended it to various friends who also came in the last months. Buffet staff is exceptionally friendly and remembers faces - one isn’t just a number. If LVC remains as affordable as it is during these times, we will definitely come back! What a wonderful place!
We chose to stay at this hotel, because we really wanted to enjoy some days away! We've been here before and know the level of service they provide and we were not dissapointed. The food is very good and the service was great! We stay in a suite and got access to the UNIQUE area and UNIQUE benefits and it worth it. We will for sure come back to this hotel. Thank you all for the effort during these hard times. See you soon!
Recently visited with a group from work for a series of meeting. At the very time that you step into this hotel, you get awe by its architecture and hanging chandeliers in the lobby. The staff is corteous and offer good service. We were using the Full Board option and found the food option, drink options and others plenty for our taste and expectations. Personally believe the options are good specially if we take into account the Covid19 situation in the hotel. Couple of us in our group had to go and change from shorts to pants because they did not let us in the restaurant. Maybe a little bit overkilled for a beach hotel but oh well, nothing that would shadow the rest of the facilities and the services received. The room was ample, clean and the bed was comfy. One thing I never found was the switch to turn the balcone light off. All in all, super Hotel with excellent infrastructure and options and surely, a good option for us post Covid19. I will return without hesitation to this hotel.…
We stayed here for 5 weeks recently (we kept extending it). This is a very good hotel. Absolutely beautiful, very grand reception, lovely maintained grounds and landscaping & beautiful pools. We found the staff excellent, very friendly and helpful and they all work so hard in challenging times. We really liked the rooms, they are very large, bright, excellent shower. Good air-con and rooms kept very clean. Also has a tiny fridge but it’s more like a cooler, so milk does go off in there overnight. I think it’s more of a design feature! We did ask for a higher floor room that gets the sun. We ended up with a ground floor room in the shade, but it overlooked the pool and had a sea view so we were actually very happy with the room. We found the quality and quantity of food in the restaurant to be very good on the whole. But in our last week, it went very quiet, so all the main food went onto one counter and the choice was more limited and not so good, we couldn’t even get toast at breakfast. This led to a disappointing last week which was a shame. The pool areas are beautiful. There is one heated pool which was certainly bearable, the others were very cold. The sunbeds are well spaced and were disinfected although sometimes it was hard to tell if they were cleaned and we also saw guests go straight onto sunbeds after people left them and before being disinfected. But as always, there are people who get complacent and don’t think about the risks to themselves or others. Two niggles to mention. One is the hand washing at the entrance to the restaurant, basically, no one does it. I feel that the staff checking people in with their card (stood right by the hand sanitiser) should tell all guests to sanitise their hands. This never happened. But inside, it’s positive the food is served to you or it’s on individual serving plates, as this reduces risk considerably and made us feel safer. Secondly is the noise levels and this is the reason we have not given this hotel 5/5. We were in F block and the walls are paper thin and you could hear everything very clearly from your neighbours, including conversations, light switches, TV, going to the toilet, slamming doors, etc. The corridors echo too and are open so it’s like a wind tunnel, which is a clearly a design fault and there’s not much the hotel can do about. We had to use ear plugs most nights as woken up constantly from the noise. The ear plus helped considerably. Despite the minor niggles, we still think this is a very good hotel and it kept us safe for 5 weeks so for that we are grateful. We would definetely consider this hotel again in the future but would want to know whether other locations in the hotel are as noisy as F block before booking!…
The entrance of this hotel has the WOW. Our check in by DORA was so smooth and she made it so easy. What a pleasant lady. Our room was OK but not as modern as we had hoped. But very very clean so that made us happy. The 3 things that let this hotel down was the the FOOD , RESTAURANT, AND ONLY 1 BAR OPEN on the night due to COVID. The food was in my opinion one of the worst I’ve seen, I’m a vegetarian and the only soup was goulash with pieces of meat in or fish soup with bits in.....I was upset.....I then went to get pasta and the chef just pointed at what was pre made and he would not make any fresh. Also considering Covid the restaurant had no order or organisation so everyone was bumping into you....it was not good......the crackers for the dessert were soft overall the buffet and restaurant was a huge letdown. Then on the night only 1 bar open so everyone was then in one space and due to Covid this is not good so we sat in an area with a drink that was shut....so we then felt safe but I was upset as on the web it did not say that these bars are all closed. Overall not happy and we would not return.…
