What a lovely young family weekend away we have just had at a clean and friendly lodge. When we arrived we were disappointed that the play area was closed. However after speaking to the landlord whilst he was showing us to our room he explained that it was due to health and safety. He then advised us where the nearest...

The play area is currently undergoing renovation and will be completed by the end of april so children can play in complete safety thankyou for understanding, the play area close by is also very good whilst we carry out the work. I booked a room for my wife's birthday and I must say we never had any complaints what so ever . Infact we actually sat and drank with the landlord and locals and it felt as if we had known them years. As for the food you couldn't find fault it was excellent and at a fair price. The room...

Millingbrooke Lodge is a classy, comfortable and reasonably-priced lodge. The family room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Our whole family were impressed! A comfy double and two large singles meant everyone had a good night's sleep. The bath was enormous with plenty of hot water for a lovely soak. The George Inn opposite provided us with a delicious hearty...

Family meal over Easter, and we would recommend the George over other pubs in the Forest. Cater for fussy eaters, and non-drinkers (sometimes I wait for ages for a cup of tea, but not here!) The beer tastes good, according to those members of family who know about such things, and the food is of excellent quality and price. We...

A very nice country Inn, rooms clean and well laid out, they are in an old building so expect to hear noise from other rooms, however it's not a problem, ample car parking, the bar is small but plenty of room in the restaurant although I would recommend booking in advance for a meal, the highlight without doubt is the...

I booked a room here as a present for my boyfriends birthday. I looked into it a lot and a friend showed me a large room that she had stayed in which had lovely green decor and exposed brickwork behind the bed. It seemed on the website that it was the only king size room. When we booked in, we...

Without doubt the worst pub in the forest staff are extremely rude and the pub is filthy and the owners think it's perfectly acceptable to let their dogs out to poo all over the car park and leave it. No care to the customers getting in and out off their car's or if they have kid's with them. Will definitely...

Thankyou for your not so kind review, Firstly the pub is extremely clean both inside and out. I find it a gross insult to suggest otherwise and that we the owners and my very good staff are rude as we pride ourselves on good hospitality. I find this review non factual and should be given no creedence what so ever....
