We were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch, having driven past The Sloop Inn countless times - we wont be driving past again! One of the best Sunday lunches we have had. Very reasonable too. Sorry we have not called in before - we will be back!

My wife and I were out for a leisurely drive in the Wye Valley area, enjoying the quiet roads at this time of year. (January) We knew we would be limited for choice for somewhere to have lunch. We passed Tintern Abbey not wishing to pay for parking to eat. Anyway when we saw the huge free car park and...

Stayed a week with friends in a cottage just opposite The Sloop and visited this pub several times for drinks and twice for food. The pub has character and a roaring real fire which was lovely. The food was excellent and worth waiting for as it seemed very fresh - Pork medallions, Beef Bourguignon, chicken and ham tagliatelle and THE...

Very Nice pub in beautiful location . Very friendly helpful hosts , lovely ales and good wholesome food with good portions for a fair price. I would thoroughly recommend this place to people passing through and people staying in the area.

There was no need at all- the room was lovely and more than adequate for our needs. The owners are really welcoming and friendly without being intrusive Well done both of you :) The...

Just visited The Sloop Inn, Llandogo for Sunday lunch with the family and dogs for a Sunday roast and have to say what a great experience we all had. The staff and locals were all very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious home cooked fare - the homemade apple pie was to die for. Was even better than...

Was really quite surprised by Then Sloop. It's a lovely area to stay. The Inn it's self is nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. The food was excellent and the Manager and his family are very warm and welcoming. We will definitely stay again if we ever pass

We had a very enjoyable stay: the room was small but quite adequate and the night very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and also a good breakfast. Others have commented on the noise from the bar in the veining; we guess this applies more at weekends. Sadly the weather was poor during our visit but there...
