Somewhat tired-looking, ground-level building on the edge of Avignon airport, with planes incidentally flying overhead. Hotel offers lunch and dinner but apparently not on Sunday. An equally tired-looking Courtepaille a short walk away is the only other option but a drive to the center of Avignon might be a better idea.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a comment following your stay. Our establishment is indeed located next to a small airport. The restaurant is effectively closed on Sunday evenings during the winter period only, but, as you can see, a Courtepaille restaurant is right next to our establishment or you can eat in Avignon, 6 km from our establishment. I hope you will come back for a next stay, especially outside of winter, to be able to enjoy not only the restaurant but also our swimming pool. Regards, Béatrice - Quality Manager

Required a hotel for the night prior to catching my flight the next day from Avignon airport. This place is practically on the doorstep so was ideal for my needs. You walk out of the hotel and walk into the airport.
Was not expecting much but was actually pleasantly surprised by the nice gardens and general feel of the place. Although set far away from the centre of Avignon (not an ideal choice if you are a tourist) I spent a very pleasant night here. Had dinner in the restaurant which was ok. Next morning I even had a splash in the pool and chilled in one of the loungers before my midday flight.
Breakfast at 13 Euros I found expensive. Room basic but clean.
Recommended.

Initial impressions were not good. Set beside Avignon airport so noise expected to be an issue (it wasn't). It is very convenient for the motorway. TGV line close by. Unimpressive concrete facade. Reception a bit dark and bar area furnishings very ordinary. Room is in a separate building. It just not a looker (see photo). All feels a bit like a motel and I am worried I have made a mistake. However the carpark has a number of spaces under the shade of trees so at least the car won't bake.

Room is big, clean, modern with excellent lighting. The bed is huge and comfortable. The bathroom is of a very high standard with a shower so powerful it blows itself off the wall if you turn it up full blast. Air-con is good but you can't get temperature down below 21. Large flat screen TV with international channels. Good wifi.

Stayed two very nights and noise from airport/TGV line/traffic never an issue. Enjoyed the pool which was refreshing (also known as a bit cold but nice when temperatures are hitting 30).

Would certainly try this again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in out organized tour. The hotel is ok, it has a pool that if you don't plan to visit Avignon it gives you something to do. The hotel means 3 different buildings and when you arrive it is a bit confusing to find your room. The room is big, at groundfloor with big window. A bit noise from the airport. I found some bugs in my room.
Restaurant has a limited offer and was taking orderr in summer up to 8:30 pm.
If you plan to visit the city probably tyhe taxi is the only option and will cost you as it is far away.
It was the most disapointing hotel from all our tour.

I could spend a few hours writing all the bad points about this hotel but I will keep it short.
I have stayed in many 3* hotels with the children and as long as its clean we are happy.
We first received a terrible welcome from reception by the staff when we walked into the hotel. Yes I might have looked a bit worse for wear after entertaining 3 small children on a 5 hour car journey but there was no need for the receptionist to ask my husband if he wanted to use a paper bag to put over my head so he would not get nightmares during the night. The woman on reception thought she was very funny until my husband asked her to apologize to me but she said "I am french and I am honest. If you dont like you leave." We should have left immediately but the children were hungry and exhausted.
After the receptionist threw the keys on the counter we tried asking her the directions to the room but she just rudely ignord us.
We decided find out own way and when we got in to the room we were in for a shock. Both the rooms had 2 single beds only. We knew we couldnt keep the rooms between the 5 of us but I said we should leave the bags in the room and get some food while we get another room organised.
The restaurant was awful. The food was sloppy and cold. The service was terrible and probably the slowest I have ever known a restaurant to be. The surroundings were pretty though.
My husband went to reception to explain about the 2 rooms with 2 single beds and showed our booking was for two superior double rooms and our personal request for inter joining rooms. 10 mins later my husband returns annoyed after being told that he needed to pay €180 for another room because each room only sleep two people. He tried explaining that our children aged 2 4 and 5 are not old enough to sleep alone but the receptionist suggested for my husband to stay in a hotel in the city where she would show him a good time when she finished work and I could stay in that hotel in a double room minding the 3 children.
We decided that I would take one room with our 2 daughters and my husband would take another room with our son but even with the new rooms we had 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms and they were nowhere near each other and not one of them looked like the rooms shown in the pictures that advertise the hotel. I ended up taking the double and my husband had taken the twin.
As the children started brushing there teeth I started to the the bed ready. I pulled back the sheets and was disgusted to find several short and curly pubic hairs inside. I then looked under the sheet that covers the mattress and almost vomited. I saw a dead woodlouse and it looked like the mattress had been used as a toilet many times. Luckily the weather was very warm and because the air con was no working the children were happy to sleep on top of the sheets with no cover. I couldnt and didnt sleep a wink. I wish i had got the paper bag from reception because it might have helped block out the loud noise of the crickets outside.
Breakfast was awful. The children had a few croisants but my husband only had a coffee because he didnt sleep either.
We decided to ask for a comment card but was told that all comments had to be reported to reception only.
The wifi wasnt working and the pool had a coating of green slime so I wouldnt allow the children in.
We did have a nice 30 mins chat with some American guests because we had so much in common with complaints about the hotel.
We decided we didnt want to stay the other night and pay another €180 for the other room we would not be using so we left that day. We checked out at 9.35 am and it was not a minute too soon.
My advise would be to avoid at all costs and stay in a nice clean place especially is traveling with small children.

Trying to fly a helicopter from Milan to London in poor weather and having to stop unexpectedly in Avignon, I was not expecting much from the hotel 100 m from the airport. The outside is being developed so a building site at the moment. The welcome was friendly, the room big and warm (don't personally like tiled floors in hotel rooms) and the shower blistering hot and powerful. TV options limited but the wifi works well in room 100. Haven't slept in the bed yes but comfie for lounging and working on the ipad.

Food in the restaurant was great. Fantastic steak, well presented. Great chocolate desert and good service. Baring in mind my wife only does 5 (+) star hotels on holidays and I get to go with her, normally, so my standards have been dragged up; I would certainly come back here again if the weather is rubish for flying. Nothing to do with the hotel, but the operations, refuelling, fire and airport staff are also really helpful.

From the outside this place looks like a badly maintained Butlins, the grass is scruffy, the pool looks uninviting etc. Once inside àthe staff are warm and helpfil, and speak good Anglaise.

The restaurant is good, and the rooms are internally modern and comfortable, with good aircon.

We stayed for four nights and loved it. Our room was very big and had everything we needed. The restaurant is very good. Location is great, it's near the highway and there is a big shopping center within a few minutes drive. We'll defiantly go back on our next visit to Provence.

After my mother (in a wheelchair) and I and my dog (9 weeks old, had just gotten her from her breeder in the South of France), after a long and trying day, we were tossed out of our hotel in Aix (wrongly told, "you don't have a reservation for tonight"), we drove up the road to Avignon and I thought of Best Western, which is an excellent chain in France (though likely not at all in America). We received a warm welcome, were offered assistance, and fell into a very comfortable room and a very good restaurant, which was nearly completely full, and with a good, also warm vibe. The grounds were nice, the pool would be inviting on a return trip, the place was immaculate, and the staff were so hospitable. Believe me when I say, I will be back at this place en route to the South of France and as a good base for Avignon and nearby.

Nice modern Best Western hotel - easy to find and a pleasant place to stay.
Our room was clean, well equipped and comfortable - the staff were extremely friendly and professional.
There is even a pool to cool off in after a hard day's drive !
We had dinner at the hotel - the food and service was of a very good standard, with reasonable prices.
Although located right next to the motorway and airport, noise pollution was not a problem.

Having driven up from Spain, we didn't fancy driving into Avignon (about 15 minutes away) to see the sites, so we ordered a taxi at reception ..... 25 euros each way ..... however, the city and historic sites are worth a visit, but it came as a shock to find that the 'sur la pont d'Avignon' was only half finished !!

Back to the review ...... good hotel to stay if passing through or exploring the area - recommended.
