Stayed here last weekend. The room was nice and well equipped. But not really what I would call a four star. Ate one evening in the restaurant and was a bit disappointed at the standard of the food. So overall though ok we were a bit disappointed at the averageness of the place.

We only ate at the Pub Grill in the Moorings Hotel on the canal. This was the best meal we had in Scotland, and we had some great meals! My wife got sea bass that she still tells people about and I was introduced to haggis - which I still tell people about. Unpretentious, little pub, good service, medium price,... More

Really great atmosphere. Food was good and helpful bar staff. The waitresses were really pleasant as well. One of our final stops before heading back to South Africa. Was a great experience! Views from our room were spectacular

One night stay at this hotel just outside Fort William. Comfortable and quiet room over the entrance to the hotel. Would recommend as a good place to stay in the area. Breakfast cooked to order - much better than buffet style.

My first visit since the building of this new cafe / terrace addition to this old and well established hotel immediately beside the canal. Very nicely fitted with good views and sunny outlook (subject to the weather !). Had a light lunch (cheese and chive scone) for which there was a rather limited menu. Very nice for a coffee break.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. We upgraded to the newer supreme rooms with a balcony overlooking the canal. Lovely size room, with ironing board and iron plus fluffy dressing gowns and slippers. Perfect location for nearby Fort William and walks along the canal. Lovely mountainous backdrop and outlook. We booked... More

My boyfriend booked 3 nights for my birthday weekend. I wasn't too sure on the idea being in the Scottish Highlands in November. But the whole stay was amazing. Our room was in the new extension which had a lounge area and amazing view of the mountains also of the canal Neptune's Staircase. Staff were very helpful and polite. The... More
