Between Solvang & Los Olivos this is a perfect mid point to visit both spots if you have a few days. Solvang is the more touristy area, Los Olivos a smaller yet more trendy & intimate area. Plenty of horse farms & wineries around. Ballard itself has some history. The folks at the front desk will provide a booklet for...

We love going back to Ballard Inn. We always make sure we make dinner reservations at the Inn. The owner is also the chef. The rooms are so quaint. I love the annex rooms better because I'm getting oldl and walking up the stairs is not working for me anymore. The free breakfast is also good. They have appetizers and...

My husband and I and another couple drove up to the area for a weekend of wine tasting. We didn't want to stay in Solvang .... the "kitschiness" of that town is a little much for us, and the high cost of more remote places like Fess Parker seemed unnecessary. Ballard Inn is a great option in the middle, but...

The service at this inn was excellent. Located in a quiet rural area, the inn itself is very charming. We stayed in "Mildred's Room", which was more modern and cosmopolitan than the more country themed rooms. We really liked our room but the other ones were also very cute. All in all it was relaxing and serene. No tvs but...

Just returned from another great trip to the Ballard Inn. Again, the comfort, service and the food was wonderful. Centrally located in Santa Ynez Valley with lots of things to do nearby or a great place to do nothing. More great places to eat than you can possibly try. Staff at athe Ballard always the best.

Beautiful grounds, cozy rooms, delicious food (breakfast and dinner), and FABULOUS service. We sat on the quiet deck and sipped our complimentary wine every evening and smelled the incredible roses growing everywhere (more colors than I've ever seen). We were there during a difficult time in our lives and the staff went of their way to make our stay comfortable....

My wife and I have stayed at the Ballard Inn a half dozen times over the past several years, and have never been disappointed. Located in the heart of Central Coast wine country, the Ballard Inn captures and reflects all of the rural charm of this area. It is located in Ballard, which could double as Mayberry RFD. The Inn...

I'm writing this review based on a recent personal experience I had at the Ballard Inn, not on the actual hotel accommodations. That said, two of my girlfriends and I were desperately seeking a night away from the day-to-day grind. We finally found a night to escape and get some much needed R&R.Upon checking in at the Ballard everything was...

Although employed by the Ballard Inn, the unfortunate accident was a personal mistake on my part and should not have created a burden on a business that played no part in the mishap. Immediately following the accident, my insurance company gave me clear instructions, "I was to have no direct contact with the owner of the vehicle, as all correspondence...

We spent one night at this lovely inn with four other couples. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Our room, Davy Brown, was charming and comfortable, but not good for reading in bed because of a board across the top where I hit my head. Otherwise we loved it. We were on a wine tasting weekend, although we could only...

Stayed using a "travel zoo" coupon (prepaid). Lovely, good location for our main objective of wine tasting. Restaurant was excellent. Homey feeling with great customer service. Generous happy hour with wine and sparking water included. Cookies in the rooms as well as another bottle of water- yeas 10% "service" charge really added up, but we enjoyed the entire stay
