I was the second time there and I was shocked. Unfortunately, the still quiet island is already exploited and because of the masterplan of Koh Rong investors, the Guesthouse has been destroyed for construction works that started now. The end of the long Beach where the Broken Heart was before is now a big construction site. The jungle is destroyed...

We hiked from the other side and saw the Long Beach and decided to move right away there. The beach is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. But if you decide to stay here, realize that you are between the sea and the jungle. The bungalows are open bungalows with no running water or electricity. There are flying...

its the only guesthouse on that side of the beach so no wonder they can get away with it, but its so expensive to stay and the food is very expensive too. but if you stay on this beach you dont really have any choice other than to sleep in hammocks along the beach (which is lovely but be careful...

I spent a night with in one of the private bungalows in late February. Of course it was sparse but we really need to understand where we are. It is an island in Cambodia. If you want convenience, stay on the other side of the island. You'll need a good supply of candles, a flashlight and maybe something soft to...

So you are in the middle of the jungle and people are complaining that there are snakes etc. The staff over there are the best I have met so far. The atmosphere and everything else is so great. You are on an island so somedays the you cant get water or something else because its kinda impossible, but people dont...

You get what you paid for - in our case, we paid 5usd for two persons a night, which, at 2.50usd per person, is a steal considering that we had a beachfront hut, a double bed, and a balcony in a secluded area of this 7km beach. But that's where the apparent beauty stops. We were there during low season,...

We've been warned that this place (which is unfortunately the only accomodation at Long Beach; or at least at the southern end, there are possibly some more, 7km up north in the small village) is "very basic", but that's a total understatement. If it wouldn't have been for the wonderful and nearly abandoned beach we wouldn't have stayed there in...

Bungalows very basic, theres nothing excessive in a room, but some how it's all you need there. Rooms are clean and very basic. Thats truly jungle there, and bungalows are still in the front of the sea. We've been travelling 5 months now when im writing this, we were in BHGH 4 months ago. We have seen tens of beaches,...

I stayed at BHGH in Spring 2012 and it was once of the nicest trips of my life. I LOVED it. Most gorgeous scenery, amazing white beaches, beautiful for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing, it's remote, it's quiet, it's not very touristy - and that's the best thing about it. A bit pricey, but worth it. Love the bar and the...

I spent two nights in the dorm room and it was a very bad experience. The room was full of rats, which ate my bag and ran around the bed and ON the bed. I didn't sleep. I never complain about spiders or cockroach (because it is normal to meet some in Cambodia) but a place full of rats for...
